So says Figure Four Online (f4wonline.com), backing up otherwise-cryptic tweets by Ken Kenne-uh, Anderson (twitter.com) and Bobby Lashley (twitter.com).

Oh, God, not him, too.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Lashley's message is "very sad day today. A good friend is gone."

Let's hope that's not the case after all..

The rumor was originally that he died, and another site said so before pulling the story, so it's possible that's what Lashley was referring to. :/

Every report says he's died but not one mentions how or anything about drugs.

Yeah, not so sure about including Benoit "in heaven". And not so sure she should be saying "drug overdose" (even if true) before the family can even release any kind of statement.

Didn't the WWE release him because they wanted him to go into rehab, and he refused?

RIP Umaga, if true.

Sad. Sad all around.

Strictly in terms of what that character did for wrestling, it put over Jeff Hardy and CM Punk as main-eventers, leading to their prolonged title angle on SmackDown. The WWE is still milking that angle; Punk shilled Hardy's DVD set last week.

He was the most recent successful WWE "monster," a role that Kozlov and Jackson have yet to master. And he got to be a part of the big Vince/Trump war on WrestleMania. Not bad.

Dang ... I really enjoyed his work, especially when he was with Armando Alejandro Estrada ... very solid big man ... Had hoped to see him do a lengthy program with the Undertaker at some point.

let's hope for the best, but seems like it may have headed in the opposite direction.

I hope the reports of his death are incorrect. Let's hold off on any speculation at this time, please.

Still haven't heard anything credible about him dying (the Examiner did report it, but considering how often they post for jobs, not sure they're all that credible) but the Observer (linked earlier) has him off life support now, and pretty much everything points to when, not if.

I think 3-4 more months. He's out for a total of about 6 months. It might be longer than that though, i'm not too sure. But that's the original time frame given.
