Man... I really wish a time machine could import the Ric Flair of '89 or '88 into today's WWE. Wooooooo!
It's probably more due to my age (mid-30s) than anything else, but I don't think I'll ever have an emotional connection to a wrestler the way I did with the Nature Boy.
And y'know, when you don't really feel passionate about the wrestlers, it's kinda tough to be a fan. For the past few years, I've actually enjoyed reading about wrestling -- on forums like this -- more than watching it.
He's always been a huge fan of professional wrestling, but he actually started out as a comedian doing the bit on a variety show first. He gained his fame with the character before becoming a pro wrestler with HUSTLE.
