No Heroes bashing from me this week. No, none of that. Heroes gets a pass because they delivered a moment that made me unreasonably happy.

No, not the lesbian kiss.

When Peter was in the hospital and watched the kids sing the theme song of The Greatest American Hero.

That was my favorite Heroes moment ever.

I did mark out pretty hard for that. I have to say the slow burn of this season is really starting to heat up especially with Nathan appears to be no more.

I did kind of like the idea of Peter accidentally replacing his bad-ass super-speed power with a fundamentally useless one, completely by accident. Honestly, since he grabs powers just through skin-to-skin contact (Gimmick theft in Heroes? Unpossible.), it's more surprising that it hasn't happened before now.

Can someone explain something to me? Maybe I missed something a few episodes ago, but I thought that Peter being an empath meant that he collected powers, NOT that he would replace his current power with a new one every time he met someone with abilities. Is his super-speed power gone for good now? What about the super-strength he was using before he got the super-speed?

If that's the case and I were him, I wouldn't get near anybody with abilities for fear of losing something useful.

They did a really lame change where now he can only have one power at a time. Though if he were to touch Sylar, maybe he could get them all back.

But yeah I'm pretty sure he touches others with power and doesn't get them by accident(his mom?)

Yeah, towards the end of last season, Peter's dad Arthur stole his power, and then Peter was injected with Mohinder's formula, which gave him a slightly different version of his power back, where he can copy powers, but only one at a time.

And can I say I'm not sad that we seem to have dropped Mohinder from the show?

Yeah I remember him losing his powers completely, but I guess I forgot how he got them back. I also wondered how he didn't take his mom's power whenever he touched her (and how much would THAT suck! seeing the future may or may not be cool but isn't all that helpful to a superhero paramedic). I hope he touches Sylar or something and gets back to old Peter. One-trick-pony Peter is no fun.

All I have to say is I'm now three seasons behind, 8pm time slot worked out and no I don't have DVR/PVR right now, I join in when some of the better stuff has happened. This season already has me hooked and I would turn in to catch the "save the cheerleader save the world" get kissed by her lesbian crush on top of the awkward sorority girl timing.

Still not totally lost yet but I've always loosely followed here so I'm not totally clueless as to what's happened to some of the original story that slowly adapted from season to season.

I don't know if I just wasn't into it or if I was wrapped up in Sunday Night Football, but this episode really didn't do anything for me.
