Boring. Boring, boring, boring. I appreciated the brief cameo from Louise Fletcher. Hearing Kai Winn's voice always creeps me out a little bit.

My favorite exchange was:

Noah: "I can't believe you told her about your ability!"
Claire: "I didn't tell her. She just found out!"

Oh, and how'd she just find out? "Because I threw myself out of the window of my dorm room. How was I supposed to know she'd see me?"

Poor Claire. Still dumb. So dumb. All she knows how to do is commit suicide to get in/out of trouble and find answers. I did like Noah threatening to call the Haitian. That's a good parenting trick to keep your kids in line. "Either straighten up and fly right, or I'm calling in the Haitian!"

Claire and Gretchen live in the least populated dorm ever. No noise, no kids milling about, coming or going. What, were all the kids quarantined from H1N1? Claire and Gretchen in the hallway talking about Claire revealing her secret was stupid. Anyone could have overheard that Claire has a secret, or should have if there were kids around like there are supposed to be. And is there really any doubt Claire's new roommate is from the Carnival? Will anyone be shocked when that's revealed?

You know what's great? Matt Parkman on a police case where he starts to talking to Sylar/himself and the guy he's interrogating gets scared. Can't have too many scenes like those.

I'm not rich, nor do I throw fancy cocktail parties, but if Samuel showed up at my door with that rambling story, I'd have slammed the door in his face too.

The episode was done more to move characters around the board then to be action packed. I was actually digging Sylar as Matt's partner until he totally screwed him at the end. Sylar was hysterical with the "I can't believe people actually say that" and "Would you let your kid in this house?" The deaf girl cello scene was very good and at least gave us a moment which the show has been missing for awhile now. Peter was interesting tonight, but seem to revert back to the naive kid from season 2. Yet, Samuel was playing some good mind games with him, so I really can't fault him too much. Nice pop up of Nurse Ratchet/Kia Winn as deaf girl's doctor. Yeah, Kia Winn probably the most devious of the Trek villains. I will say the show reminds me of season one where its about the small things instead of season three and four were they were dealing with these epic plots. Its nice to get back to basics. If anything we just saw how much of a badass Samuel can be as well as seeing him as a more developed character then the last two major villains from season three.

Sylar screwing Parkman in the evilest of ways was enough to make this episode a winner for me. He's soooo cold blooded, that bastard!

Wow there were a lot of pop culture references crammed in. I got all of them except the Flash Gordon one. Yeah parts were offensive, but if you go into Family Guy expecting not to be offended by something you are out of luck.
