(Mr. Boffo does not like CBS, if I remember correctly...)

Cancelled Shows: THE UNIT, WITHOUT A TRACE (REALLY?), THE ELEVENTH HOUR (DAMNIT!) WORST WEEK, ELITEXC, HARPER'S ISLAND, THE EX LIST

NEW SHOWS: MEDIUM (From NBC), ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE, MIAMI TRAUMA (Mid-season), NCIS: LOS ANGELES, THE BRIDGE (Mid-season), THE GOOD WIFE, THREE RIVERS, U.S. ATTORNEY, UNDERCOVER BOSS

MID-SEASON: RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

-----The Schedule-----
Monday:
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER
ACCIDENTLY ON PURPOSE
TWO AND A HALF MEN
BIG BANG THEORY
CSI: MIAMI

Tuesday:
NCIS
NCIS: LOS ANGELES
THE GOOD WIFE

Wednesday:
NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE
GARY UNMARRIED
CRIMINAL MINDS
CSI: NY

Thursday:
SURIVOR
CSI
THE MENTALIST

Friday:
GHOST WHISPERER
MEDIUM
NUMB3RS

Saturday:
CRIMETIME Repeats
48 HOURS MYSTERY

Sunday:
60 MINUTES
AMAZING RACE
THREE RIVERS
COLD CASE

----------

NBC Cancels MEDIUM and CBS picks it up. This probably caused ELEVENTH HOUR not to get renewed and I hate this because it was a damn good show. WITHOUT A TRACE, I thought, was a good performer and I'm surprised it got the axe as well. THE UNIT pretty much sucked this year and I'm not surprised it got cancelled.

Worst Week was a pretty quality show and I thought it was doing okay. Bummer.

I guess if you're watching Ghost Whisperer, you're watching Medium, so that's a good pairing.

I caught a couple of episodes of The Mentalist on a flight last month, and the premise hooked me. I'll pick up the DVD set and start following next season.

Boo on breaking up the How I meet your mother/Big Bang combo. Heroes' time slot also kills this as well. I was hoping to DVR Heroes then watch it at 9:00 pm then again that show needs all the ratings help even though its NBC's number 2 show. The only good news about CBS is they re-signed a two extension with the NFL, so hopefully it will make a strike next year less of a possibility.

Reading thru the coverage the last few days, it sounds like NUMB3RS was the Last Show In after Medium was picked up, beating out Without A Trace because NUMB3RS had a cheaper budget. (I'd like to score that as ME 1, WILBON 0, so I just did.)

They're actually pitching that Friday night lineup as
8: ghosts
9: crime solving ghosts
10: crime solving

It seems silly that the NCIS spinoff is on right after NCIS, but I guess you just lock all those people down easily.

I love Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother, actually. They must expect good things from Bang if they're moving it after Two And A Half Men. A lot of their shows skew older, though.

An NCIS spinoff? At the very least that's one more show to add to the Tommy Westphall Universe. http://home.vicnet.net.au/~kwgow/crossovers.html

That, and the other networks are full of reality shows Tuesdays. If you want scripted television, CBS is the only game in town.

I think that CBS plans on using NCIS: Original to hook people on the LA show and if the ratings are good for the new one, they will move it to another night.

The NCIS: LA cast debuted in a couple of NCIS episodes leading up to the season finale. I KNEW that cast was too strong to not be a spinoff.

I'm glad they found something for Louise Lombard to do.

I'm just hoping USA Network doesn't pick up this NCIS spinoff immediately, as if they did, it would become the "All NCIS-all the time" network. It's already pretty close to it as it is.

I always meant to state that I like without a trace. I knew I should have made a blog post at some point.

That, or actually watch the show.

Big Bang Theory I love, and recently started watching HIMYM. Caught Rules of Engagement this week and it was OK. Bummed they are moving TBBT opposite Raw, it was perfect at 8:00. Only CBS show(s) I watch and Scrubs is the only ABC show I watch. If it wasn't for cable I would barely watch TV :(

I just got into HIMYM this year, and I think it's great, and I'm very happy to see that a show Jay Mohr is on is making a second season. Gary Unmarried is better than I really thought it would be.

"Book 'em, Danno." Of course, they said the line, as they should. And the theme music will always rock. Like Knight Rider a couple of years ago, Hawaii Five-0 has sentimental value as something I watched as a kid.
