| #1 Posted on 5.12.08 2052.17 | Instant Rating: 8.77 | Hey hey - let's check the equation that's the weekly sensation:
27 Blu-ray + 228 DVD = week of 12/9-12/15
You know the routine, they're all listed on one page for your convenience and to make sure search engines hate me because I'm putting TOO MUCH INFORMATION ON THE SINGLE PAGE.
We also include more information for anything which might interest you - links to the IMDb for movies, links to tv.com to find out which episodes are on which seasons, links to movie sites, network subsites, and other fun places where trailers and information can be found. Some day I'll check whether or not anyone actually uses any of this stuff, but for now, ignorance is bliss!
I shouldn't have to remind you that DVDs make GREAT presents for ANY occasion! Even Christmas!
Blu-rays too. I suppose.
Clicking on any title should place it in your basket, and if you DO decide to make a purchase, we get...like, forty-seven cents. Everybody wins!
Weekly release lists going all the way back to the beginning of 2007 can be found by clicking on our "DVD" icon at the top of the box.
Enough! We need to get it started!
First up is my
PICK OF THE WEEK Irma Vep (Essential Edition) (The W at Amazon) (France, 1996) Maggie Cheung wears a lot of latex, there's a buncha French people (led by Jean-Pierre Leaud) - I am intrigued - no, I don't have a latex fetish...yet... - learn more about this weird one at Zeitgeist (zeitgeistfilms.com)

DVD FOR KIM OF THE WEEK John Cage: 49 Waltzes for the Five Boroughs Usually I get into trouble when I recommend something John Cage related to Kim, because it means I've confused him with John Cale again, but THIS is a product I think she would really enjoy because within it is a time capsule of 1994-5 NYC - 147 locations on a map to make up the 49 triangles on a map that comprised Cage's original artwork, filmed by Don Gillespie, combined with Cage's score - more info at Mode Records (moderecords.com)
COLLECTION OF THE WEEK Murnau, Borzage and Fox Box Set (1925-1932) Two films by F.W. Murnau and ten from Frank Borzage - six silent, six talkies - restoration costs money, folks, so it should come as no surprise that this turns out to be our MOST EXPENSIVE ITEM OF THE WEEK

From 58-7 under Gerry Faust to 3rd and 43 ending a 23 game winning steak and a chance at back to back national titles to the phantom block in the back on the Rocket's punt return in the last minute against Colorado, how I hate the Hellhole in Little Havana. Used to flip the stadium off every time I saw it when I lived in Miami while swearing at how you can allow someone to convert 3rd and 43 when you have them pinned deep in their own end. | thecubsfan

Judging from some of the other videos on that user's account, this was done at least partially in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico and partially in Tuscon, Arizona, with Mocho Cota's promotion in the area (and probably his sons - Tiger Cota has popped up on AAA TV this last year in some openers and he's the only noteworthy guy.) Seems like everyone's (or almost everyone) is working a different gimmick for the show and I would guess the leads are actors.

I really miss that show. It never really got the praise it deserved. I mostly just miss the parts where Swearengen and Mister Wu try to understand each other through charcoal drawings and wild gesticulations.
I wonder how long the wait will be for Dark Knight on my fiancees Netflix?
