I know there are some fans on here (StaggerLee, come on down!) even though this show doesn't get the weekly treatment, and I thought it would be nice to have a mid-season check-in, especially given the turning points from the last episode. (Hopefully this doesn't get Banished as "fantasy booking.")

Well -- five shows left, I think? And two members of the force have, in one way or another, resigned from their positions. So what do you want to see happen? And what's your prediction? (I dunno if there are spoilers out there -- if so, keep 'em to yourself.)

I really want Vic Mackey to go down. Specifically, I want to see him do life in prison for the murder of Terry Crowley. That makes the most sense to me from a storytelling perspective as well -- he commits the crime in the first episode, pays for it in the last.

(I think the least satisfying ending for me would be if Vic sacrifices himself and dies heroically.)

I also predict that Shane gets killed (too easy?), and that nothing sticks to Ronnie and he becomes the new "Vic."

***EDIT: Oh! I guess the obvious thing would be for Dutch to break the Crowley case and put Vic away, but I think it'd be pretty funny if it was Billings instead. But I miss the days when Dutch was actually a threat to Vic.

You?

My GF thinks it will end with Shane killing Vic and then Julien killing Shane for Ronnie! It will then be Ronnie taking over the Vic role and Julien taking the role of the new Ronnie.

She bases this on the fact, she says, that Julien is poping in and out of episodes now like Ronnie used to, and add the fact that he is now on the strike team she is hoping for a heel turn.

Shane has to die. I don't care too much about what else happens but SHANE HAS GOT TO GO!!! Hopefully his skank wife can go with him.

I'd also be unsatisfied if Mackey gets off free or dies and is made out to be some kind of Hero. Actually, I want to see both Mackey and Acevedo brought down.

I think the Strike Team is over. With all the scandals so far and scandals to come (hopefully) I can't see it staying on with Ronnie of Julien or anyone. Ronnie is the one guy I want to see make it through this. As far as I can remember he's always been a mostly decent guy. If he would happen to die so that Vic can get away that would be one of the worst possible endings.

I wouldn't mind seeing them end it on a happy note where Dutch gets the girl. Any girl. Just give him something

This has been an outstanding season thus far ...

I agree that Shane has to go ... then I see him with kid and have a change of heart ...

I had totally forgotten about Tevon, then they bring him back for an episode.

Well, I have been totally marking out this season. Each episode is better than the one before it.

First off, Acevedo and Vic HAVE to go down. I think the last scene of the show should be the two of them, sitting in orange jump suits looking at each other with fear in their eyes and a "how'd we end up here" look on their faces.

Ronnie isn't innocent, he's just quiet.
He murdered the guy just three or four episodes ago, and chopped his feet off.

Shane will get what's coming to him, hopefully via the end Tevon's pistol. It would make up for all the racist things he's said/done.

I'd love to see Danny and Dutch hook up in the end. Just because both deserve somebody who will treat them right.

Either way, each show this season has been a blast to watch and I am honestly sitting in anticipation before each show comes on.

Actually, Ronnie shot him then Shane chopped off his feet.

Anyone else suprised Vic and Agent Whatshername haven't jumped in bed together yet? I'm glad they haven't as that would be the predictable path.

I agree with Karlos, it would be best if Dutch was the one to connect all the dots and bring Vic down. Maybe with the payoff to the Billings storyline being that he is a huge part of helping Dutch break the case. And yeah, he should get the girl. Even if its Claudette.

This season started off somewhat slow, but it built up to that last awesome episode and now things look like they'll be going at a breakneck pace til the end. The last episode was one of those where it's so good you look up and it's already 40 minutes into it and you wonder how time is going by so fast. I can't wait to see what happens, but at the same time I'll be sad to see it end.

I love this idea. Dutch hooking up with Danny and getting to raise Mackey's son while Vic rots in jail would be great revenge for all the Dutch-boy jokes and dog-poo in the desk drawers. As the jail door's close Vic sees Dutch with Danny: "You gotta be shittin me..."

Vic - prison, thanks to Dutch and Claudette.

Aceveda - see above.

Shane - dead, killed by Ronnie.

Ronnie - gets away clean.

Claudette - dead from her illness.

Dutch - gets Vic and the child serial killer, but loses the kid's mom as a result.

Julien - won't be a factor. becomes gay again?

I'm not sure where they're going and it's pretty awesome having no idea where it's going to end (though Clark Johnson is directing the final episode and he's got a minor role). Last week's episode has to be one of the top three episodes, right up there with Lem's death and Vic confronting Kavanaugh. Awesome stuff.

As for the ending, I'm guessing Vic will end up in jail -- still not convinced that Olivia is in the blackmail box. After all, Vic never saw her file, he heard it from Assinvader, and then she had her little breakdown at the apartment. Though, I wouldn't be surprised to see Cassidy shoot Vic or something...

I love your user name!

I thought along the same lines regarding Cassidy. That she may somehow play a role, intentional or not, in Vic's downfall/demise. Otherwise, why the expanded role this season, other than the nepotism?

Wait a minute, was it Billings or Dutch who talked to Cassidy when she came in?

Whomever she talked to, THAT'S how Vic goes down.

Billings, I'm almost positive.

**EDIT! As far as this week's show -- my favorite part was Ronnie saying, "What about Jackson?" -- meaning, what about the future that this kid will have if we kill his mom? To which Vic answers, "He's too young to be a witness" -- Vic wasn't even considering the kid's future, just whether or not he should kill him. Holy cow.

Yeah, it was Billings. I remember him telling Vic about it. Not quite as good an episode as last week, but I sort of figured they would slow down again and build up to the finale. And yeah, Vic is one cold blooded MFer.

I refuse to believe this show will end it's run of awesomeness by bringing down the main character at the inept, borderline comic relief hands of Steve Billings.

My guesses:

Ronnie runs to Mexico, or gets killed by Shane.
Vic kills Shane, Mara gets away.
Dutch and Claudette find Mara and bring down Vic.
Aceveda loses his Mayoral bid and has his political career ruined due to some last minute Vic manipulations.

When Acevedo told Vic about it, he had the file with him and showed it to Vic, if I am not mistaken.

I think there were two key moments from this season: Ronnie getting his hands dirty and killing that guy, and the scene with Ronnie and Claudette from the last episode where she basically asked if he wanted to save his career or go down with Vic.

With that in mind, I think Shane goes down, Pezuela goes down, and Claudette & Dutch get info from Corrine and other sources (maybe Shane's packet of secrets) about the many sins of the Strike Team. So they prepare to come after Vic (and Ronnie by proxy).

Then Ronnie looks at the situation and sees Vic having no job, being estranged from his family, and facing time in prison with dozens of people he put away, and he starts to worry (perhaps aided by something Vic says or does) that Vic might talk.

So in the interest of self-preservation, following the path of Vic/Crowley and Shane/Lem, Ronnie puts one in Vic's head.
