Has anybody got this game? I know it's only been out like a day, but I'd love to hear word on the actual gameplay of the thing considering Midway's last effort was WrestleMania Arcade. I read the transcript from IGN that detailed the Q&A Midway held and it seemed like every other answer was "We'll consider that for the sequel".

Short version is the game is alright but not great and I'm having fun with it so far. There's a ton of potential but what you actually get is a pretty basic but fun wrestling game.
For the long version, I wrote a review that's up at www.dorkgasm.net.

I rented it. There's no CAW on it.
I keep feeling that this version was an afterthought; it's like the developers were saying "We have some extra time, can we scale down this game and put it on the PS2?" and they did. It's a very bad game, no offence to Midway. There's terrible collision detection, the graphics look very old, everyone has the same taunts, and there are no actual rear grapples.
[Angry Video Game Nerd] This game is ASS. Tiny roster, no cage matches, king of the Mountain isn't an option and the PS2 version doesn't even have CAW. What were they THINKING?? This is a shitload of bullfuck.[/Angry Video Game Nerd]
Seriously, though. This shit was disappointing.
I wish I could respect the law. I can't. The law is a whore who demands payment up front, and then attempts to evade providing the service paid for.
