Yeah, Frank Raven was whatever the internet equivalent of "good TV" is, but I kinda have to agree. Sure, a lot of people write repetitive things with stupid opinions that I don't agree with in the slightest and I think they should shut up or just chop it down to a few paragraphs on a board, but I just choose not to read column-type stuff unless I know who the person is and want to see what they have to say or I accidentally click on the link to them. So now I just assume that everyone except me is an idiot, and I gotta tell ya, it's a lot easier to deal with wrestling discussion that way, if you're so inclined.
I have got to say that personally I found then entire "article" a total waste of time. There was no flow to it at all, and it seemed like it was written more for the authors enjoyment then for the people who are reading it.

I thought it was written as a mockery of message boards types.
Mean Gene: "You know, I don't think it's a question - Goldberg, I don't think it's a question of who's next, I think it's a question of who's left?" Goldberg: "No, see, that's where you're wrong. It ain't who's left, it's - WHO'S NEXT?"

Hmm, hadnt really thought of it that way. I guess that is possible, and if so it actually makes it a lot more humorous then I originally thought.
I really liked the column, it worked for me. A detailled analysis of why would probably destroy my enjoyment of the piece, but it didn't come across as sneering or elitist. Muy funny, though. Good stuff.
The Austin stuff was funny in that horribly cruel way that all the best Scott Christ stuff is funny. The rest of the stuff is dated. People have been making fun of people using wrestler's real names for so long, I'm surprised we haven't reached the point where people are making fun of people making fun of people making fun of people using wrestler's real names. But, yes, Frank Raven. Giggle.
I was only half watching the last half of the show (playing Metroid Fusion) so I missed him putting weight on the arm and stuff like that... it was alot of fun watching Bill's reactions though...
