Anyway, it's been a damned amazing show, and the season finale is next week, in case you wanted to catch it (they will probably rerun it though) at 10AM next Saturday. Last week was a Sinister Six episode as part of the Black Suit storyline, and it was awesome. But THIS week, we got the origin story as part of Pete's internal struggle against the alien symbiote, with help from Uncle Ben, as voiced by Ed Asner. Eddie Brock's life going to hell and his subsequent submission to the symbiote suit were done really well too, and I am as pumped as possible for:
NEXT WEEK: "We are VENOM!"

I'd also like to throw an endorsement in for this series, as it's got the charm of the old comics, has really interesting stories, and has some ingenious voice casting (witness John "Bender" DiMaggio as Sandman). The only downside seems to be that the show's producers haven't been able to get the rights to The Kingpin, but they've made up for that pretty well by using Tombstone as the token crime boss.
Hopefully the season sets come in a timely manner, because I missed out on the start of the series. Here's hoping this one lasts a while to fill the void left by JLU and Legion of Superheroes.

I've been looking for a version to show the rugrat that was more accurate to the Spiderman of my era. This has the wisecracking, mechanical web shooting Spidey I remember. |
