I was drastically edited - I was concerned that'd happen. I'll dig up my (also highly edited, but SELF-edited at least) original version later if you're dying to see how the newspaper business works and the reason the Internet is pushing them out of business. ;-)
I'm almost certain my invitation to write came from a comment I added to one of the paper's blog postings about the Kraftwerk concert. So, there's your lesson, kids - always make your voice heard or the reporters will never find you!
