We've seen songs by bands be used in the WWF. Songs like "Rollin", Rob Zombie's music, "American Bad Ass", and so on. Not a lot, but that's WWF.

ECW was big on using songs -- probably illegally. But it was part of the entertainment. Without "Enter Sandman" for Sandman, his entrance would be pointless. RVD coming out to "Walk" by Pantera was the whole reason for getting excited while he walked to the ring.

What songs would you like to see used in WWE -- and if you want to answer this too, WHO would you want it used for?

Some good tunes for wrestling that I've found are:

"Just Got Wicked" by Cold
"The G.O.A.T." by LL Cool J
and so many Rage Against The Machine songs, that it's not funny.

Even though the nWo's kinda' lame right now, they could use Ministry's song, "New World Order" and it would work.

Spike Dudley could probably use "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

Anthrax's "Only" would be cool too. It would fit Raven pretty well.

And because it would fit their goofy gimmick, Billy and Chuck could use the Pet Shop Boys' song, "Absolutely Fabulous" (I think that's the name of it).

Pantera's "Domination" would be good for Test.

The Hurricane could use Megadeth's "The World Needs a Hero."

And wouldn't Destiny's Child's song for the Charlie's Angels movie work well for Trish Stratus?

I would like to see Tommy Dreamer use the Alice in Chains music like he did for ECW. I would also like to see RVD come out to Pantera "Walk" like he did in ECW.

actually the Pet shop boys song is "Wheels on fire"

it's the theme to the show Ab Fab

I was actually thinking of the Pet Shop Boys song used for the AbFab special before the third season, the song that repeats, "We're aaaaaabsolutely... faaaabulous" and has a house beat. I think that would fit Billy and Chuck so well it's kinda' scary.

(Wow! another AbFab fan! AbFab rocks! And so does Julia Sawalha!)

And by the way, rikidozan, your username RULZ.

And when it comes to certain themes for wrestlers, some were absolutely perfect, like Dreamer with "Man in the Box" in ECW.

Val Venis could use AC/DC's "Hard as a Rock." That would be funny.

For Trish there was one song on the radio I heard and I thought of her right away. "short skirt, long jacket" by Cake. That's been her look for since day one, and I could actually see her coming down the aisle to that song, it certainly beats her generic crappy music. How strange seeing TE Linda come out to Rob Zombie while the champ Trish came out to generic tune 372 on Smackdown... Trish recently on muchmusic said that she want's Lil' Kim to do a song for her, not a big hiphop fan but anything is better then right now.

Triple H should have asshole from Denis Leary (umm what) it fits

I think Chris Benoit could go top 3 of enterence with his OLP version, we only heard it once when he came out in Edmonton it sounds great.

ECW enternces rule. Even the weaker onces were good, Lance Storm had a catchy tune when he was in ECW. But the best ECW enterence was Simon Diamond "Simon Says" by Drain STH, that song is awsome, and I love those Scandanivian chicks ruled, too bad they broke up

While were are talking about ECW theme music,My vote for best ECW entrance theme goes to:

"Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple for "The Franchise" Shane Douglas. It was just bad ass especially with the organ at the beginning.

NO! The coolest of all the ECW theme music entrances was the FBI with the funky disco "Stayin' Alive" remix. And if not that well how could anything top "Natural Born Killaz" playing through the entire match/postmatch of New Jack solo, or the late lamented Gangstanators.

As for possible entrance themes, this was discussed in great depth in this thread from the KZIM tower. I threw in a vote for the slow remix of "Hurt" by NIN personally.

And RKMtwin, you keep your dirty mitts off of my Saffy! Julia will be mine one day, she just doesn't know it yet. :)

Well for starters, no theme song thread is complete without mentioning "Jive Soul Bro".

I don't know why, but I really liked Lance Storm's old WWE theme.

RVD does that in New York or Philly and the roof blows off the arena. Halfway down the ramp everyone would be chanting the lyrics.

i have to female cats, they are sisters
the skinny one is Patsy, the fat one is Edina

if you have the Sawalha sisters, i'll steal Edina from Vyvian...she's hot!

remember her zebra print she wore for "Happy New Year"??? man, she was hot!!!

but, yeah, i only saw Chicken Run because saffy did the voice.

Did any of y'all see the show they did, Mirroball???

it was the Ab Fab gang doing a show and Saffy and Mom were business partners, and i couldn't watch the show for what it was...it would be like the gang of Star Trek: The Next Generation doing a sit-com, or porno...

well, here we go:

because i was bored, and NO ONE REQUESTED IT =)

Jive soul bro

Well I met this lady and I told her quite a story, said I'd love her forever more.
But the trouble is I tell the same old story to every girl that walks through the door.
This is the Slickster talkin' at cha honey, yeah!

Well first they love me and then they don't, sometime they do it and some time they won't.
So I said to this girl "Hey you, get out!" and she got to her feet and began to shout:
"You're A Jive Soul Bro, a Jive Soul bro, and you're always lying to your friends.
You're a Jive Soul bro, a Jive Soul bro, and you never get nothin in the end."
What cho talkin bout lady? This is the Slickster talkin to ya, I don't do nuthin but tell the truth, hehehehe.

Well, I thought this dude might learn a lesson, but I didn't learn a thing at all.
Why late last night I was out messing with a lady that was SEVEN feet tall. Now that was a BIG woman!

So I said "Hey baby, spend a night at my house."
She said "No way, you jive yo mouth!"
I said "Hey there baby, can't take no more!" so she threw me on the floor in the figure-four singin'
"Jive Soul bro, a Jive Soul bro and you're always lyin' to your friends.
You're a Jive Soul bro, a Jive Soul bro and you never get nuthin in the end."
Chorus:
Jive Soul broooooo Hey, wait a minute everybody!
Jive Soul broooooo I ain't no jive soul bro!
Jive Soul broooooo
Jive Soul broooooo Now come on band and break it down for the Slickster.

Band:
Sooner or later you'll see the light, you've got to stop Jivin for the women at night.
If we catch you lyin we got to go, we'll sing this song and will for sure.
You're a Jive Soul bro, a Jive Soul bro and you're always lying to your friends.
You're a Jive Soul bro, a Jive Soul bro, and you'll never get nuthin in the end.
x2

Chorus:
Jive soul brooooooo No, no no y'all, this is the Slickster talkin to ya!
Jive soul brooooooo That's right, i'm leannnnnn and i'm meannnnnn and my pocket's full of greeeeeeeeeeen, yeah.
Jive soul brooooooo Hey, I'm the "Ladies pick"
Jive soul brooooooo And I'm even the "Fella's pick"
Jive soul brooooooo And rememba everybody
Jive soul brooooooo My motto is
Jive soul boooooooo Honesty is the best policy hahaha! yeah!

[fade out]

I love that song...

I always thought the Dudley Boyz could've used Rage Against The Machine's "Testify" and the APA *needed* AC/DC's "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", but both teams are gone, so it's a moot point...

And I heard it on the radio today for the first time in about two years, so I'll mention it - wouldn't "Hurt", by Nine Inch Nails been the perfect music for the initial version of Mankind?

And, since I'm throwing up a bunch of music that they couldn't use anymore anyway, Metallica did a really awesome cover of Queen's "Stone Cold Crazy"...

I could see the Hurricane using "Hero" by Chad Kroeger and Josey Scott.

Raven with "Mudshovel" by Staind.

Eddy Guerrero with "#1" by Nelly

"Hells Bells" by AC/DC for the Undertaker.

Give Booker T some West Coast hip hop, maybe "Hello" by Ice Cube

"Rock Superstar" by Cypress Hill would be PERFECT for Chris Benoit

"Mother" by Danzig would work for Rhyno...

Oh yes, one small other thing(edit):

What is Maven's theme song? I like what I've heard and want to download it.

Call me crazy, and I know this is kinda old, but I always liked the Junkyard Dog and his theme. "Another One Bites the Dust"..I dunno why, it just fit and sounded really bad-ass..of course that could be nostalgia talking. If he was still alive and fit would Vince have him on?

I think the Maven song is by Hoshal.
And I think anyone who is badass should come out to American Woman, the Lenny Kravitz version, without the words. It is rock-ass.
