(Click on the "DVD" thread icon to find threads going back to the beginning of the year...here are links to the new DVD lists for the previous four weeks: 11/6 - 11/13 - 11/20 - 11/27)
Hello.
We're getting just close enough to Christmas that if you're planning on using Amazon to help you out with gifts to loved ones and others - and can I just say that I love relatives who have Wish Lists more than those who don't - you best be placing that order lest you risk your order showing up after the holiday. Of course, you might be a gambling man - or you might not care WHEN your order shows up - OR you're saving so much money that you can afford the super speedy shipping - OR let's just get to the listings already!
This week's tally: Seven Blu-Ray, three HD DVD, one UMD, and 380 DVDs coming Tuesday, 12/4 (or at least the week of). Really not much here to excite me - but perhaps something here excites YOU - and if so, by all means please share your enthusiasm with a reply!
For those of you who HAVEN'T been here before, these lists work like so:
We got the big list on one page! We get them from Amazon, and they'll take you TO Amazon. Hovering over links should provide you with Amazon's current price.
CLICKING on links takes you to the Amazon shopping cart with a friendly referral from The W - consider making your purchase - ANY purchase - through us, as it'll place a few coins in our tip jar!
Because Amazon sometimes can't come correct with the information about certain movies or TV shows, you will see some exposition from me (or, more likely, a bad joke) in addition to the listing along with IMDb icons (which can be clicked to take you to a movie's IMDb listing) or tv.com icons (which can be clicked to take you to the relevant episode list from tv.com)!
All links will open new windows, so you can click, look, and then close to come right back here!
If you don't mind my asking for some promotion, please tell a friend (or vote this thread up Digg/Propeller/Newsvine/Reddit/&c. with a click of the icon(s) of your choice at the bottom of this post) about this post because it takes me a long time and I'm a big fan of more eyeballs! We're also happy for you to email this link to others as well - a lot of people do that!
Please feel free to add a reply and share your two cents about any of the listings you see here - show off your impressive knowledge, share your opinion about something you've seen, something you're looking forward to seeing, or make your own crappy jokes which are better than mine!
We also hope that if you buy something, you come back and tell us what you thought about it! This hardly ever happens, but it's always appreciated when it does!
If you have something to say but don't want to say it publicly (or register for the board), you can also email me direct at CRZ.DVD@gmail.com!
It's probably an obvious call but it's mine to make:

CANADIAN TV OF THE WEEK: Instant Star: Season Two (CTV, 2006-7) How Funimation ended up putting this out, I have no idea Welcome to My Castle! Outrageous (and fearless) interviewer Nardwuar the Human Serviette proves that not all Canadian public access is worthless - just most of it
WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT: WWE: Cyber Sunday 2007 As is often the case, you're better off paying less and getting a T-shirt by ordering at the WWEShop (wweshop.com)
NWA Pro Wrestling Presents: Fiesta Lucha! "Card" at Big Vision (bigvisionentertainment.com) - your thoughts, Cubs
This was the show were we supposed to get Colt Cabana vs Super Porky, and Porky didn't get on the plane. So sad. For $10, it's not bad, but you probably can get better matches from the undercard guys on PWG DVDs and better Santo/Psicosis stuff from a lucha DVD. If you're going to get a $10 Big Vision DVD, go get the CHIKARA (The W at Amazon) one.

THEY TOTALLY DO (according to the back of the box I looked at at Best Buy earlier today)! There's also an Andy Kaufman screen test and some dress rehearsal audio included.

Wow. I've heard some real horror stories about the Mardi Gras special. I have to see that some time.
