-Abyss d. Black Reign in a Shop of Horrors match. Said to be incredibly bad. Large guy in a mask attacks Abyss after the match, making me think they've got a second guy ready to play Judas Mesias. -Motor City Machine Guns d. Team 3D. MCMG go over clean with a double enzuigiri. -Gail Kim d. Angel Williams, Roxxi Lavaugh, & ODB. Awesome Kong comes out after the match, but they immediately cut away to a Karen Angle segment. No, seriously! -Jay Lethal d. Sonjay Dutt to retain the X Division title. Team 3D lays out both guys after the match and steal Lethal's title belt. -Tomko & Styles d. The Steiner Brothers. Styles bops Rick with a chair for the pin. -Samoa Joe d. Robert Roode. Said to be good, but you wouldn't know it, because Ms. Brooks passed out, so that angle completely took over. -Kaz d. Christian Cage...wait, no shit? Yes! Kaz d. Christian Cage to become #1 contender. And Kaz went over clean, no less! Well...about as clean as it can get in TNA, anyway. -Kurt Angle wins a glorified handicap match to retain his title. Booker T was the mystery partner. Styles & Tomko run in on Angle's behalf to help him retain.
Glad I missed out on this one. Doesn't sound like it's worth the replay price.
EDIT: There seems to be a lot of buzz over Kaz/Christian, so it looks like that's at least worth viewing.

"Wocka Wocka...who wants to hear a funny-ass joke?"
Here are some more thoughts from a demented mind in Central Florida: Having ordered the PPV (and currently recording the replay), I'll add my $0.07 (as always, adjusted for inflation):
+ Abyss vs. Black Reign was not great, but certainly not "incredibly bad," either. Not sure what to make of the masked guy, other than the fact that the Abyss-Black Reign feud is clearly not over at this point (in more ways than one).
+ Motor City Machine Guns vs. Team 3D was everything the match should've been. When even Ray has his working and bumping boots on, you know you're having a good match. I think I have to put this in a tie with the Kaz-Cage ladder match for Match of the Night.
+ It was... weird... watching the Dutt-Lethal title match. Sonjay was clearly playing the heel here, but Sonjay's just got too much amazing offense for the crowd to keep him heel. And then, after Lethal wins clean, Dutt acts like nothing happened. Was Dutt going heel, or what? I was somewhat disappointed with the Team 3D sheananigans post-match. Other than these, it was a fun match.
+ Weird with the whole Ms. Brooks thing. They didn't show that many shots of her after she "passed out," nor was the camera on her and the refs/medics for more than a few second when she was shown.
+ I totally didn't see that ending to Kaz-Cage. Awesome spot with Kaz tipping over the ladder, sending Christian flying, but managing to not only stay on the ladder, but get it right back upright and climb it for the win.
+ We may be looking at a Christian Cage face turn. Christian turns away attempted interference from AJ Styles, and then Styles and Tomko interfere for Kurt Angle. Post-main-event, Christian Cage is seen at the top of the ramp, not looking favorably on the scene.
+ No Rhino, LAX, Raven, or several others to be seen. James Storm and Eric Young are only seen in backstage segments in a drinking contest. I'm not sure whether to view the segments as "harmless fun," or a waste of PPV time. VKM accompanies Roxxi Leveaux (sp?) to the ring, and BG James is wearing a Rhino shirt? OMG WTF???
Otherwise, I found all other matches to be okay at worst (see Abyss vs. Black Reign, in particular), with two awesome matches (MCMG vs. Team 3D, and Kaz vs. Christian Cage). Probably worth the buy, in my opinion, blatant TNA homer-ism notwithstanding.
Why yes, I am both a musician and a lawyer. Thanks for asking. :)
I thought this was a really good PPV. Abyss/Black Reign wasn't very good and the main event was very messy as usual put if you drop those two matches you actually have a pretty awesome show with the two best matches being the first MCMG/Team 3D and the last one Kaz/Christian.
Everything in the middle was good to very good.
Not sure what to think of Team 3D stealing the X Division title. I know everybody is going to go on about how they're going to bury the X Division, etc, etc but they did lose cleanly to MCMG so who knows.
Overall I thought this was the best booked month since Spike came to TNA. It still has it's problems of course, too much Angles, Black Reign, the inability to have a simple PPV main event but how they booked MCMG, Kaz, and Roode this month alone was the best booking they've done since coming to Spike.
Both good and bad. Not bad overall, but I felt a little depressed at the end.
Black Reign vs. Abyss was pretty bad, but the mousetrap spot amused me. One thing I find frustrating about Rhodes is his unwillingness to take the big bumps. C'mon -- even Sting went into the tacks. In Abyss matches and Monster's Ball matches, you gotta have guys willing to go with it. I couldn't figure out who the new guy was -- I thought it was Slash at first.
***EDIT! Meltzer says it was Johnny Stamboli.
3D vs. MMG was better than I thought it would be -- and the ending was great. 3D had a table set up in the corner and threw Sabin at it -- but Sabin ran up it and backflipped off! Devon charged but Sabin dodged and Devon crashed through the table -- then Shelley came in and he and Sabin kicked Ray in the head over and over. Ah ha ha ha!
Women's match was fine. I am amused that VKM is now, basically, Roxxi's valets. I thought Kim did a good job in the opening minutes of fighting off three opponents at once.
Dutt vs. Lethal had some great stuff that I've never seen before. The stuff with SoCal Val was really cute. Lethal's pants were really excellent. Devon pocketing Dutt's tambourine full of cash was pretty great. I assume this will lead to Lethal/Dutt vs. 3D...?
Stomko vs. Steiners was...uneventful. As was, disappointingly, Roode vs. Joe. I knew that Roode bored me, but I thought Joe would counteract that.
***EDIT! Meltzer says Miss Brooks actually passed out!
Kaz vs. Cage was pretty great. That ending was really cool -- the ladder got tipped over -- Cage went to the floor -- Kaz landed with one foot on the ladder (which was at a 45 degree or so angle) and one foot on the top rope, and he kicked the ladder back up to an upright position! Yeah!
And then the main event sucked. I just felt sad watching this match that would have been really awesome in 1997 or so. And then, you know, Karen came out, Sharmell came out, and man, just...whatever. I will bet you a dollar that they toss away the Kaz title shot on Impact and give us Angle vs. Booker at the next PPV.
***EDIT! I should say, though, that I agree with Quezzy about most of the booking -- I'm happy with a lot of it -- I just am really bored with the Main Event.

1) If she really did pass out, hopefully she is fine now.
2) Regardless of whether she really did pass out or really did a fine job of acting like she passed out, look for it to be turned into an angle where she's pregnant.
Okay, ladies, and Gentlemen, it's time for the review of one of the classic supercards of all time, All Japan Women's Tokyo Dome show from November 20, 1994. This was during AJW's peak. It's a Loooong show.
