Carpoolers, on the otherhand, was funny from the start. It also helps that it is created by one of the Kids in the Hall and has another one in a cameo.

Gotta disagree with you on this one. I laughed out loud through a good bit of Cavemen. I think it's pretty intelligently written. I went into the show thinking it was gonna be a bunch of gimmicky stuff about cavemen getting adjusted to modern day life but I was pleasantly surprised. Instead it was part cavemen-deal-with-prejudices/stereotypes and part typical-sitcom-stuff-where-the-characters-happen-to-be-cavemen. "eat sushi off yur booty" had me ROLLING.
Carpoolers, on the other hand, is kinda eh, but good enough for me to watch again since it comes on right after Cavemen.

Cavemen...I dunno. If it wasn't supposed to be a comedy it might be good, but I didn't laugh or chuckle or anything. Not even once. The closest I got was being amused at the behavior of the apartment super. She seems like a character with potential, if I were to watch the show again. But good GOD is she dangerously, sickeningly thin. Her legs looked like raisin skins stretched out over two toothpicks. | pieman

This would be my opinion also. Carpoolers had a couple of laughs, but I switched over to The Biggest Loser, so I don't think I will return to Cavemen or Carpoolers. I didn't find either really funny.

Ha! I actually sat through the drivel that was Carpoolers and didn't find any of it funny. I LOVE Bruce McCulloch and still thought this was sheer and utter crap. The two guys in the front seat of the carpool act as if they just got their SAG cards.
I was hoping to catch Cavemen out of morbid curiosity but I didn't get home in time and forgot to TiVo it. Looks like I didn't miss much. | The Goon

It wasn't particularly good, mind you, it just didn't make me want to claw my eyeballs out like some would have you believe.

This wasn't the original pilot that was filmed. They replaced one of the cavemen with a different actor and I think they added a female character but I don't know which one.
It's not something I'll watch every week because I love me the NCIS, but I can see watching this if NCIS was a repeat or something. I guess I liked it enough to give it a chance to grow.
God, I feel terrible for saying that. What's wrong with me? (...don't answer that!) | spf

I only watched up until the one caveman told his 2 buddies about dating a non cave girl while they were playing the Wii. At that commercial I just turned it off. It was boring and slow. Although I really liked Carpool. I thought it would be the other way around when Is started the day.

One of the caveman should have a pet gecko ... it's only fair.
And count me in as one of the people pleasantly surprised that it wasn't truly horrible - I was suspecting something along the lines of an early 90s sitcom, with the canned laughtrack and everything.
Not sure if I'll ever watch another episode, but at least I didn't feel like I wasted a half hour afterwards.
Now "Carpoolers", THAT show has potential ...
