| #1 Posted on 25.9.07 1200.40 | Instant Rating: 4.03 | I know it's hard to be as great as the last few episodes of Heroes, but the season premiere kinda fell flat with me. I don't care about Kensei. His character is boring me already. I was glad to see Peter finally got a haircut and I was sad to see Takei die. He deserved better than to go out like a chump.

Mohinder is still boring. Park is a cop again, and the little girl's "boogeyman" was apparently not Sylar?
New school, same situations for Claire. HRG, really REALLY dislikes his manager...that scene was awesome for anyone who has worked under a tool like that.
Nathan is now a drunk (but they didn't answer what happened with the election...was he NOT voted into office?)
I'm not sure where Hiro's story is going, but I'll give it a chance.
And the twins...not sure what they're power(s) are yet, but it appears they need to be together to keep Maya's in check.
No real good clues to the identity of they mystery assassin though (the Una-bomber?).
And finally, Peter. He looks like he's put on a few pounds of muscle to make up for the lack of hair.
I can't wait for next week. | pieman

I agree that this wasn't a blow-me-away episode, but they did have to do a re-set in order to get moving again. What are the odds that the first guy Claire meets in her new high school can fly and hover??

HRG punking out his boss was little far fetched, but still funny.
Even though she is 18 now, and I can say she is hot without feeling weird about it, Claire is getting a tad bit annoying.
My onscreen guide ruined a bit of the surprise of Peter and Nathan being alive, but that was to be expected even if you don't read spoilers.
Pretty good way to start the season.

I assumed he was a Company man, which makes the odds pretty good. I also wasn't blown away by the episode, but I wasn't expecting to be. I knew this one was going to be mostly setup for the rest of the season. | The King of Keith

That was Jan's assistant Hunter from The Office last season. I guess he gave up on his band!!!!

According to Hana's website, it looks like some sort of "Black Death."
Personally, I'm geeked out about Peter's Raiden/Hadoken powers.

My brother thought that Peter had absorbed the shape-shifter's power (forgot her name) and - while everyone thought he was dead - he had assumed the form of a teenager to keep an eye on his niece.
Of course, the ending pretty much ruled out that theory ...

Not necessarily.
What if the peeping tom is Peter and the guy in the box is SYLAR who shapeshifted into Peter than lost his memory? This would assume that SYLAR killed her at some point and stole her powers.

1) Uncle Ben says hi. Or not, as it were. Family/spouses/surrogate family are the exception to the rule for the most part anyway.
2) There a difference between "No One really dies" and "People have a habit of not staying dead".

I'm pretty sure Hiro is going to keep going around trying to "fix" the things that Kensei was supposed to do but didn't, over and over again, until he finally becomes Kensei himself. And the legends and stories will all be about him instead of that English fellow.

I don't think so. The preview for next week seemed to indicate that Kensei has the same time stopping powers as Hiro - possibly indicating that Kensei is his ancestor. I think the point here is that Hiro is going to be the one to show Kensei that he can be a real hero, and just like Hiro did himself in the first season, he helps Kensei to reach his destiny. | SchippeWreck

I called that happening to Peter after the season finale, but they gave it to Nathan instead just so I couldn't take credit for it. :(

| #20 Posted on 26.9.07 1532.53 | Instant Rating: 3.27 | I actually thought it was brilliant that the great samurai warrior was actually a white guy with an English accent and I love that Hiro got to meet his hero only to find out that he's a complete ass. After all, that's how it usually is in real life. I also don't think Hiro is going to become Kensei or he's going to make Kensei turn into a hero. The legend of Kensei is just a bunch of bullshit like most legends.
Originally posted by cranlsn And the twins...not sure what they're power(s) are yet, but it appears they need to be together to keep Maya's in check.
I got the feeling that Alejandro actually doesn't have powers but just protects his sister who does have powers. Sort of like Simon/River in Serenity/Firefly.
I thought the Suhresh, HRG, and Claire stuff was awfully boring. Parkman/Molly was okay and Peter/Nathan/Hoodie was interesting but I'll have to see more.
