Meltzer's got a *little* bit more information on this. I gotta assume that either they've had problems in their (short) past with the WWE, or else they had one HELL of a "disagreement".
Yay no more auctions. Yay Kendrick and London get to be the #1 face team again and have good matches with Cade and Murdoch. Or short TV matches with Cade and Murdoch. Or maybe that spot will go to a renewed HIGHLANDERS push.
At least they went out on top with their Regal skit from SummerSlam.
I'll always remember that hip, white announcer guy. "You must be straight trippin'" brought me hours of entertainment. Of course, like in many cases, it was all fun until the vignettes ended.
I just find it a bit interesting that as a good chunk of the roster is suspended that they're picking NOW to start cutting names from the roster. The tag team situation, in particular, is abysmal.
I'd love to see these guys hit TNA, though. Maybe management can tweak the Cryme Tyme gimmick and turn them into a new version of The Gangstas.
I liked Cryme Tyme, and when they stole the Caddy from Deuce and Domino was a classic. I haven't laughed that hard at anything on WWE TV in a long long time.
Big Booty Girls....Priceless.

One report I read stated that they'd had some bad blood with Cade/Murdoch and made some comment about "What happens out there, happens out there." Cade apparently took that as a threat and brought that up in the locker room in front of everyone. They then played a rib on Cryme Tyme in the ring where the ref counted fast at the end of a "get back in the ring at 9" spot and ended up counting out Cryme Tyme (on purpose as he was allegedly in on the joke) when that wasn't the planned ending. Cryme Tyme then hit their finisher on the ref and auctioned off his belt. The release was punishment for hitting a move on someone who wasn't trained for it or expecting it.

I also read that one at Wrestlezone.com, but haven't credited any "proper" news source, so it's either blatantly stolen or complete bullshit. YOU DECIDE.

Still looks like the WWE was really looking for a reason to get rid of them, and with this they found it.
They eseentially went into business for themselves. That's a pretty big deal.
To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

Oh yes, there should have been a definite BIG BIG fine there.
But immediate termination ? Especially if they might have had a clean conduct record beforehand.

They broke the 1st commandment of wrestling: THOU SHALT NOT GO INTO BUSINESS FOR THYSELF. I'll miss them too, and hopefully all will be forgiven in a few months (I really don't want them running to TNA, considering the way they treated the MCMGs last Impact) but they earned their pink slips.
From what Keller said, there's pretty much zero tolerance right now in WWE for guys acting up, which is why they got their pink slips instead of a fine or something. Also, let's not overlook the fact that they hit their finisher on the ref, who wasn't expecting it, which can be very dangerous.
IIRC, Wade also brought up the fact that there were problems with Cryme Tyme before. Not disciplinary, I don't think, just attitude-wise, with the Test 1999 (and beyond) syndrome of having a big early push go to your head and thinking you've done all you need to do. If you'll recall, before this renewed push, Cryme Tyme spent most of the year de-emphasized working Heat after a lot of TV time at the end of last year. So this wasn't strike one, although under different circumstances from the current situation, it probably would've been just a strike and not a strikeout.

That's fucked up.
I dunno ... they didn't physically involve an unsuspecting person, so it's slightly different.
Wow you FFWed like half the show. Nice show, though, I felt they really tried their best to showcase the TNA stuff and not so much the stuff they've been trying to showcase the last month or two.
