Well, here's the deal. I took last week off, yet I couldn't bring myself to spend any of that time wading through almost 900 Amazon listings for Tuesday. Certainly a few hundred are Goldhil releases that are probably just new to Amazon, but I can't be bothered. The good news is that over 300 listings actually show unavailable, so we can weed them out without a second thought. The BIG problem (for me) is that Amazon only shows 12 at a time, and that means 77 pages, and they are TOTALLY incapable of getting all 77 sync'd up, so you get duplicates and missings and oh my. Nonetheless, here are 530 listings which I have confirmed ARE showing available with a release date between August 27 and September 3. Only...well, this time, you're on your own, pal. That's all the information you get. Actually, I'll first include Amazon's Top 24 preorders so you can find out the "important" stuff...
Of course, you're welcome to highlight any DVDs you feel deserve the attention - as long as they don't have "Slim Goodbody" in the title - come to think of it, I always thought THIS guy was Slim Goodbody:
Surely HE can't be behind all them releases up there...hmmm...
Does anyone know what exactly Emmy Tip-On in some of those releases actually means? I'm looking at Google, and it's really not helping me any.
I fear it's something painfully obvious like "Emmy-Winning Series" plastered on the DVD box.
For reasons of creative incompetence, this space will be left blank. Advertising opportunities are avaliable though!!! Contact (Number removed due to pending litigation) for details!
This is good stuff here. Anyone could buy me this for Christmas along with Count Duckula.

...you mean you do *ALL* of this stuff by hand?! You didn't write some handy little algorithm to scrape the Amazon pages and compare the URLs to weed out duplicates and... I owe you major props for your perseverance. Wow.

No no, there's SOME scripting involved, or else you wouldn't see the list above. It's just...how you say...Amazon is DYNAMIC with their results and it makes things a little hard to script. (I could buy that "Amazon hacks" book but I think it's horrendously out of date.) Where the love comes in is where I take a list such as above, semi-sort it into managable categories, find IMDb and tv.com links (or, if they're not available, links provided by the studios themselves) AND make stupid "Flight 29 Down" (for instance) wisecracks. Obviously, I had NO time for that last week, since I was on vacation and all. ;-)

This one looks interesting especially given the NY Times review they quote. Thomas Dolby on keyboards and recorded at Studio 54 in 1981.
I wonder if the bald guy is there.
Would this be before "Lucky Number"? It certainly wouldn't have "Mein Schmertz".

Nope, this would be after "Lucky Number" and I would assume it includes the number. "Lucky Number" was first released on the album "Stateless" in 1979.
CRZ had to edit my profile and close my table for me. I am a bad man.
Hell, this made me leave the theater saying "THE MATRIX what? This blew those films away!" The Wachowski's really out did themselves with this movie. - Cerebus Yikes. That is one bold statement.
