This movie was, seriously, without a doubt, the worst movie ever made.
Granted, it was taken from a stage play which apparently did fairly well, but it did NOT translate to the big screen AT ALL.
After an hour and a half, and no real action, or serious plot twists, I started getting bummed and bored. Then the ending was so contrived and so, just.......... BAD, I had to go to the theater manager and ask if he was ashamed to take my money for that movie. He admitted to us that he didnt hear one positive remark about this movie all week.
http://www.apple.com/trailers/lions_gate/bug/ The trailer makes it look like a sorta cool sci fi, but its really just a "guy makes you think the government experimented on him, but he's really just psycho" movie.
Your review piqued my curiousity a bit, so I checked out the IMDB entry for Bug. WOW. The message board for the movie is like a hive for Internet Trolls™. Did you know that if you disliked this movie, you are contributing to the "downfall of movies"? It's true, just ask pnumanugs.
Yes, I read those boards as well. Funny thing is, I understood the movie, but everything about it was either very, VERY telegraphed, or just so over the top implausible that I couldn't enjoy it.

But if she got nekkid, doesn't that automatically NOT make it the worst movie ever made? I may not have seen "BUG" but I DID sit through "The Passion of Darkly Noon," for example, and THAT thing had Brendon Fraser as a religious nutjob AND Viggo Mortensen as a mute in addition to Miss Judd.
CRZ, even a naked Ms Judd can't save this movie. And, she only looks good naked in this movie. With her clothes on, she looked dirty and trashy, and not in a 'good way'.
There's no way this is the worst movie ever. It's not even the worst movie of 2007. Hannibal Rising, Hills Have Eyes 2, and 28 Weeks Later are all a million times worse than Bug.

I'd have to disagree, I liked 28 days later. But I am a sucker for zombie movies.
Isn't there a post somewhere here dedicated to the worst movies we've ever seen?
In any case, I saw the crappy Wicker Man, and it's miles better than the crap that was "Family Man", which is, interestingly enough, another Nic Cage crapfest.
I've seen SIX movies so far this year: Because I Said So - (2*); Borat - (5*); Children Of Men - (4*); The Last Mimsy - (4*); Shrek The Third - (3*); Spiderman 3 - (4.5*)
So, on my blog (www.llakor.blogspot.com) I posted basically this list (with some pics) and who should drop by and pay a visit: Albert Pyun, the director of Captain America (1990)!
