Although there are 324 available items coming to Amazon in the DVD department beginning Tuesday 5/15, you are probably only interested in...maybe a couple dozen of them. So hunker down get ready to skip over great sections of some of the more bizarrely widely available items!
We have over 50 movies from India, so if you were always dying to expand your collection of Bollywood, this is most certainly your lucky day.
Our good friends Dolph Lundgren, Richard Greico, and Sybil Danning make appearances as well - fortunately, not in the same movie - or should I say "UNfortunately?"
We also have the long awaited sequel to "Half Past Dead" going straight to DVD and you won't believe who's taking Steven Seagal's place! (Unless you'd already read about it, of course - but I hadn't!)
A lot of popular TV series put out season sets this week - some popular with people who weren't me - discern below!
All this and we answer the question: just what has Todd Bridges been up to?
READ ON!
For those of you who haven't endured one of these lists before, it works thusly: Hovering over links should provide you with Amazon's current price CLICKING on those links will take you to the Amazon shopping cart with a friendly referral from The W - consider your purchase a few coins in our tip jar! Because Amazon sometimes can't come correct with the information, you will see some exposition from me (or, more likely, a bad joke) in addition to the listing along with IMDb icons (which can be clicked to take you to a movie's IMDb listing) or tv.com icons (which can be clicked to take you to the relevant episode list from tv.com) All links should open in new windows so you can come right back here after your research! (If you want - we're totally flexible about that!) Please tell a friend (or vote 'em up using the thread icons at the bottom) about this post because it takes me a long time and I'm a big fan of more eyeballs! Please feel free to add a reply and share your two cents about any of the listings you see here - or email me at CRZ.DVD@gmail.com!

I guess I am one of the twelve since I wrote about this film twice. Not that I get upset when CRZ makes fun of me. He really doesn't do that enough. You should really really really see this film. Someone wrote me a PM saying that they were going to see this film based on my review although they didn't update me after seeing it. *checks* It was EddieBurkett. I'm not outing Eddie as being a secret watcher of FURN films am I? My bad.

And here's the second place where I talk about Pan's Labyrinth in an omnibus review which also talked about Arthur and the Minimoys and Happily N'Ever After.

Total agreement. I used to watch these on A&E religiously. (When A&E was playing them.)

Has anyone seen this? Because it looks awesome, but I fear CRAP. It's like my awesome-o-meter and my CRAP-o-meter are both going off at the same time. I am confoozled.
Originally posted by CRZDog the Bounty Hunter Seasons 1 & 2 3 discs - hmm, I don't think you can put the whole two seasons on 3 discs...
They are "Best of" Seasons. I object to this because every Dog episode is the same so how could you have a "Best of" Plus I am a completist. And somewhat obsessed by Dog.
Originally posted by CRZCANADIAN TV: Robson Arms: The Complete First Season (CTV, 2005) Mark McKinney, Margot Kidder-- Oh, so THAT'S what happened to Margot Kidder!
Margot is not in every episode. She may just be in one. The show is very good, but it is more of an anthology show built around the apartment building with each apartment having a different story (although usually the stories are built around the interaction between two different apartments so characters do recur.) The closest thing to an on-going character is the building's janitor, the worst fix-it man on the planet and even he does not appear on every episode. By rights he should be the lead actor listed instead of McKinney who appers in only one or two episodes.

I am visiting my Mother for Mother's Day. (Yes, I am aware that I am a week late.) And my Dad just picked up Number Two of this series cheap at the art bookstore (Mirvish?) just off Bloor right by the cheapskate complex. (TRAANAA-ites can no doubt expound at great length about this place. It's basically like a down-scale Winners built into a building/maze designed by Salvador Dali which forces you to get lost until you have found enough cheap stuff to buy that you have no money left to buy anything expensive, at which point you miraculously find the cash/exit and leave burdened by cheap crap swearing never to darken their door again until the next time that you walk by at which point you walk in again like a TOTAL IDIOT. Also the best comic book store in Canada possibly the world is right across the street - The Beguiling. (Please understand that admitting that TRANNA has the best of anything is physically painful to someone from Montreal.)
I liked Pan's Labyrinth quite a bit, but not nearly as much as I like Del Toro's The Devil's Backbone. My expectations may have been too high.
I think the only other thing I watched from this week was Zouzou, from the Josephine Baker set. I'd never seen a Baker film before, and this one also stars the awesome Jean Gabin. ...It's okay. Baker was able to make films in France that she would never have been able to make in the US at the time, but nevertheless racism manifests itself both casually ("those people were born to dance!") and culturally (Baker's romantic aspirations are simply dismissed, not worthy of consideration). She can sure sing, though.
Oh, wait, I saw Vengeance is Mine, too, eight or nine years ago. I don't remember it very well except that it's quite "deliberately paced" and pretty chilling. Oh, and I've seen Road Warrior and Battle Royale, of course, but you know all about those.

I had to reinstall the rabbit-ears portion of my antennae as well when WLUK moved. Up here in GB, I found that 1 1/2 segments is enough to pull the signal in just fine.
