Oh man that was NASTEE. Poor kid, and he just came off the game of his career a few nights ago too. I heard on ESPN this morning that the team doctor popped his knee back into place right there on the court and most of his pain went away immediately. They still need to see if anything is torn though. Definitely a season-ender, hopefully not a career-ender.

YEEEEEEEEEOUCH. They did say his season's over, but that it's just a dislocation, so hopefully it won't end his career. Although I'm hoping it doesn't become a recurring issue...
I can't think of a phrase that would best describe my utter shock-- even with the warning about graphic nature-- when I saw that footage.
Jeez, I hope the kid ends up being okay. Heck, if he's able to walk normally after something like that, it seems like it would be an accomplishment. (Not that I'm a medical professional). Best wishes for a speedy recovery, no doubt he's got a long road ahead of him, but after seeing that, I'm pulling for the guy.
Anyone else think of Sid's horrendous leg injury from WCW Sin 2001 when they saw that?

Gosh. As long as I've been playing sports (and watching sports), I still don't understand how a routine play like that turns into something so horrific. Poor kid. I heard earlier tonight while I was out at a bar that it was as bad as Willis McGahee's knee injury in the championship game back in 2002, and I'd have to say that assessment is just about right. Here's hoping that it's only a season-ender and not something worse.
Early reports have him out 8-12 months. I figure it will be two to three seasons (if ever) that he gets back to playing shape.
Poor kid. He had so much potential and seemed to be a good kid too. A shame.
And I saw the footage on ESPN and it was right up there with Theisman's injury. I actually cringed when I saw it.
Do you think God knew what He was doing when He created woman? Huh? No shit. I really wanna know. Or do you think it was another one of His minor mistakes like tidal waves, earthquakes, FLOODS? You think women are like that? S'matter? You don't think God makes mistakes? Of course He does. We ALL make mistakes. Of course, when WE make mistakes they call it evil. When GOD makes mistakes, they call it... nature. So whaddya think? Women... a mistake... or DID HE DO IT TO US ON PURPOSE?

So says ESPN (sports.espn.go.com). Nash had an even better year than last year, and more importantly carried a lesser team to nearly the same heights. And he's *Canadian* too!
