| #1 Posted on 16.1.07 0003.31 | Instant Rating: 4.96 | I've been pondering this one for about two weeks, after I finished my McRib.
This could be just about anything that is available on a limited/seasonal basis. Beer brews, food, candy, drinks..whatever, just your favorite (close seconds are o.k. too).
Although I enjoyed my McRib I can't say it's my favorite.
My favorite would have to be the Cadbury Easter Egg. I actually buy a few boxes of these every season. I truly stock up on these, my wife hates it. Then after Easter passes I buy more at half price from my local Albertsons grocery store.
That's my seasonal guilty pleasure what's yours?

| #3 Posted on 16.1.07 0556.16 | Instant Rating: 3.66 | Wow-- I have so many seasonal favorites.
#1 would have to be McDonald's Shamrock Shake. It used to be available all through March. Now it's available for a week, tops. I also love Friendly's Peppermint Stick Ice Cream, Cap'n Crunch Christmas Crunch, and Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale.
Ditto Cadbury Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs. When I briefly lived in England I remember you could get those Cadbury Eggs anywhere-year round. In Ireland I bought Cadbury Dream Eggs- Which were white chocolate with white filling--so good.
I'm also weird in that I think Holiday themed M&M's taste better. Maybe because in my mind I know the Christmas/Valentine/whatever ones haven't been sitting around for a year on the shelf (unless of course they are last year's holiday candy)

It's part of their "Halloween Milkshake" line which started two years ago. It's an apple flavored milkshake injected with hot caramel.

Sam Summer, myself, although I'm a fan of every Sam's seasonal I've had (haven't had the Spring one yet.)
My Sammy Seasonal hierarchy:
Winter Lager > Oktoberfest > Summer Ale >>>>>> Spring Ale
I wish they would go with something new, but somebody out there must be buying it.
I can't believe this slipped my mind earlier, but Magic Hat Jinx is right up there with Winter Lager. I might even enjoy it more, but maybe that's because it's less prevalent on the shelves in Boston than Sam Adams. Get a block of smoked gouda, Triscuits, apples, and a couple growlers of Jinx and you have yourself a delicious afternoon.

It's Eggnog for me but only in my coffee for the limited time it is on the shelves.
It's also apple cider from September to early December - after that it starts to get funky at the bottom of the jug

Nevertheless, I allow myself the indulgence of chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday. Man, do I look forward to it.
The rest of the year I more or less am much better behaved, for the past 5 1/2 years, I have had chicken wings only once per year.

While thinking about things that only come around for Easter, I have to mention pink Hostess Sno-Balls. I know Sno-Balls are available year-round, but a few years ago, they switched the color from pink to white, and the pink ones that I remember so fondly from my childhood now only come out for Easter.
The other limited-time favorite I have to mention is the Baskin-Robbins flavor "Quarterback Crunch" -- vanilla ice cream with chocolate-covered puffed rice and a caramel swirl, only available during football season (which sadly means it's about to disappear again). | Matt Tracker
