The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame released nine nominees for potential 2007 induction, which is always good for a spot of controversy. The names: Chic, the Dave Clark Five, Grandmaster (spelled "Grandmaser" in the release) Flash & the Furious Five, R.E.M., The Ronettes, Patti Smith, The Stooges, Joe Tex, and Van Halen.
I can see Grandmaster Flas, REM, Dave Clark Five and Patti Smith making it with ease. Van Halen SHOULD, but who knows. ROCK bands are not treated with much respect by the HOF.| Promote this thread! |           | JoshMann

Once again, it is for all intents and purposes the Popular Music Hall of Fame. It's just that it was decided that calling it the Rock n Roll Hall of fame had a bit more zing to it.
