They're on the same page as the jumble and crossword that I do, so I probably wouldn't go out of my way to read them if they weren't.

| #5 Posted on 3.10.06 2054.39 | Instant Rating: 5.63 | Usually, I read most of the comics page in our local paper, but I especially like Foxtrot (foxtrot.com), Day by Day (daybydaycartoon.com), Baby Blues (babyblues.com), Frazz (comics.com), and Zits.
Since it seems to be mandatory to mention how much you miss The Boondocks, I must say that I don't. In fact, I am ecstatic that it's no longer in regular production because it was never funny to me and was offensively racist far too often.

Party foul on Mallard Fillmore. It really should be on our editorial page, but if Boondocks is D-U-N DONE, then maybe it'll hit the bricks too.
I'll read basically almost anything on the local paper's comics page, but I'll pay attention to For Better or For Worse, Boondocks, Foxtrot, Non Sequitur, Zits (dunno why, but hey), Dilbert (yeah, still), and Close to Home (not so much Funky Winkerbean, Baby Blues, or Gasoline Alley... I don't know why). We don't get Get Fuzzy, but I can't be bothered to seek it out on the Internets to read it (or pick up the Hartford Courant or... maybe the Register runs it too).
Girlfriend's also quite taken by Day to Day, and if the paper drops Mallard Fillmore, I wouldn't mind seeing that take its place at all.
Anyone getting Diesel Sweeties? Hear it's getting syndicated too.

And I agree about For Better or Worse. While I haven't kept up with it, not getting the paper every day, I've always been impressed by the progress of the characters in a medium that's often so willing to be static.
Of current stuff, The Boondocks, even if it's never coming back, Big Top (anybody else get that?), and Foxtrot. I'm also always amused by the Spider-Man strip, just 'cause Stan Lee's dialogue always brings a smile to my face. Excelsior!

I have always loved reading the funny pages since I was a little kid. I really enjoyed Garfield for the first couple of years, but have since moved on.
Favorites that are gone but will never forgotten:
Calvin and Hobbes - possibly one of the best ever.
Bloom County
Until recently, I enjoyed Get Fuzzy quite a lot. Now, if pressed, I would have to say Dilbert and Pearls Before Swine are my favorites.

I read the Star Ledger comics section everyday and have found over the years that Houston, Dallas, Denver (if you combine the 2 papers) and Chicago have the best comics sections. The NY Post should be shot for their pathetic excuse of a comics section.

Favorite and one I go out of my way to read each day is Sherman's Lagoon... Always makes me smile at least, if not full out laughter.
Also Dilbert when I get the chance. So much of it reminds me of my office...
I would agree with whatever... Calvin and Hobbes is one of the best ever. I have 3 or 4 books of them, which my kids are now reading. I will lie down with my 9 year-old and read them over his shoulder...

I read Dilbert, Zits, Stone Soup, Curtis, and the Boondocks in my daily whirl through the comics. I occassionally read Drabble, but not as much any more.
I only get Foxtrot on the weekends but I do read it whenever I get a News Tribune. I read the Seattle P-I during the week and Foxtrot is in the Times.
