| #1 Posted on 2.7.06 1922.05 | Instant Rating: 2.89 | So, I've finally decided to update to Photoshop CS 2 from Photoshop 7.0. The problem is, I can't uninstall PS7. When I go to Add/Remove Programs in the control pannel, it doesn't list PS7 as an option to uninstall among the programs. I can't find an uninstall application either in my PS7 folder, although the uninst.isu and uninst.dll files are there. Is there any other way I can uninstall the program?

Go to the PS folder, select it, then hold shift and press delete. Answer yes to permanently delete.
Get a registry cleaner (e.g. CCleaner, RegScrub, and RegSupreme; you'd find programs like those on download.com or via a Web search) and check to see if it detects old references to your now deleted folder. Make the cleaner backup your registry then let it erase those references. | Merc
