Although I had to go to the recaplet at TWOP.com (televisionwithoutpity.com) to figure it out, the title of the episode refers to how long Michael had with Walt. Someone I work with thinks that Walt's voice was dubbed, to not sound as low (since the word is that Walt has grown significantly since he was taken by the Others). I liked the flashbacks, and how Alex cared enough about Claire to ask how she was....and Michael's look of "How the frig do you know this???" was funny!"

- Very cool of Sayid to note the obvious, that Michael was indeed full o' poop.

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
- The blurb for next weeks indicates some Desmond time, so my assumption was that the sailboat in the preview was his....since he did come to be on the island via sailboat.
Also listed for next week (on imdb.com) is the psychic's daughter. Could she have been in the picture with Desmond that they found in the hatch?

- I still gotta wonder why Eko didn't mention to anyone else about the other hatch. Is this an annoying theme to anyone else? Surely with what Kate and Claire know, coupled with what Locke and Eko know, there would be a GREAT advantage to put it all together with what Michael knows. The Others are pretending, and will be a tougher nut to crack than anyone thinks. Also on this, did Kate ever mention that when the Others caught her following Locke, Jack, and Sawyer, she saw Michael?

- My guess is that Miss Cleo (or Clue/Klugh) is not the big cheese, but perhaps "Henry", since they did want him back for a pretty good reason...

*edited for the spoiler, thanks/sorry Eddie, good call.

I didn't think Kate actually saw Michael - she was bagged the whole time and they made sure Michael stayed quiet.

Eko isn't saying anything 'cause he wants his purpose (to enter the numbers) to continue without the crew trying to stop him. That's what I figured, anyway.

As for Walt, I thought his voice sounded dubbed and wondered if his rumored growth was the reason why. It just sounded too "young" for him.

Per the recaplet, I also hoped they won't be needing the drugs as Charlie was pitching them into the ocean.

So, Michael got Hurley to go after all. I have a feeling that if anything, Sayid may get together a party to follow the 5 as they take on the Others. The only key would be not being detected by the Others beforehand. Or, perhaps he would tail them on his own, and gather intel on the Others in order to better prepare a retaliation.

(edit - CRAP! I forgot about Eko's cross lifting. What's up with the magnetic field?)

I told my wife that Walt had grown significantly ... glad someone else noticed, too.

The line of the night had to be when Sawyer referred to Hurley as the Grape Ape.

Kate didn't see Michael, but she definitely heard them tell Michael to do what they say or he won't see his son. She HAD to know he was there.

Eko told Michael about the boy who beat a dog to death to defend his sister, asked if he was going to Hell, and Eko saying that the boy wasn't afraid of Hell but rather that when he got there the dog would be waiting for him. Cut to Michael vomiting. Eko seems to figure EVERYTHING out first (Michael killing Ana Lucia and Libby; Gale being one of The Others) and never reveals ANY of this knowledge (Gale's an other/the "?" hatch/Michael's full of it) unless it's in a roundabout and ominous manner. I think it makes his character interesting, but I'd still like to know why he keeps it all to himself.

- Welp, we found out Walt's still alive, and The Others were making him take "tests." He also tries to tell his father that The Others aren't what they seem. Thanks for telling us what we already know!

- It seems the character of Charlie is coming full circle. The scene where he finds the heroin-filled Mary statues and tosses them in the ocean, then looks over to see Locke staring at him and smiling, was great. Also a nice touch to have Claire take Charlie's hand at the funeral. Then again, I seem to be in the minority among people I talk to when it comes to Charlie, since I actually like the character.

- Right before Ana Lucia and Libby are buried, Locke cuts off the leg brace and walks away, hobbling only slightly. Nice foreshadowing (I still don't think Libby's staying dead).

- Semi-related, Eko taking Locke's place in the bunker. I love how matter-of-factly he informed Charlie, and the big smile on his face. Semi-related in that I get a feeling it's going to be Locke that helps Charlie finish that church.

- Sawyer's almost a full-blown face now, what with his telling Jack that he's the closest thing to a friend he has and his mourning of Ana Lucia's death. Interesting that The Others knew his real name ("you know him as Sawyer"). That + the re-airing of the "you and me ain't through, Zeke" line = potential awesomeness for the finale (assuming there's another encounter before the end of the season).

- Sayid telling Jack that Michael's been corrupted was a great scene. Especially when Jack tries to blow him off and Sayid points out that he knew Gale was an Other, too, and tried to tell Jack (who stopped dead in his tracks on that line). Iit was one of the few times recently they've made Sayid's character strong, and had him finally put Jack in his place. Sayid even suggesting that they not take action and allow Michael to think he's in charge shows just how much Jack's leadership is slipping (and for good reason).

- It's a boat OMG WTF BBQ WE'RE SAV'D~! It could be Desmond's, but I'm thinking this is the boat The Others promised Michael. They'll stick to their word, but how they go about doing it is still shady and antagonistic.

Next week...

Michael is now coming off as quite a bit insane. Why couldn't he have just gone back and formed an armed rescue party to get Walt ?

I have kids, but I would have just done the armed rescue attempt rather than kill innocent people in cold blood and then lead 4 others to their possible deaths. Also, what are the odds that the others would even keep up their end of the bargain ?

On a side note: Michael sure had a look in his eye like he planned on killing Sayid to keep him from going on the trip.

How Michael's behavior and almost childlike whiny insistence (he does a good impression of the middle dunkette when she doesn't get her way) of just these 5 people didn't raise any flags other than with Sayid is beyond me. Jin was a korean legbreaker back home so why not have Sayid recruit him and Eko (if he can pry him away from the #'s) to follow Michael's group at a distance as back up ? And as for Walt growing, couldn't they just explain that the Others have been injecting Walt with Growth Hormones in order to speed up the development of his "powers" ?

as always - next week can't get here soon enough....

I read in TV Guide for next week that Dirty Libby will figure in a flashback in the finale and could be tied into Desmond somehow.....

I got the impression that Michael was worried that if Sayid did come along, then Michael expected the Others to kill him. Still, at least Sayid picked up on that look.

Can we infer anything about the rectangle on the dharma hatch as it relates to the map from Lockdown? For some reason, I want to call that hatch 'The Door'. Especially what we know about Walt 'showing up where he shouldn't be' and allusions to 'the room', I hope we find out more before the season ends (and we have to wait till September.)

For future reference, if anyone gets any info off imdb about who will be in future episodes, can we please spoiler tag that? Even if its something obvious, like Jack's going to be in the next episode.

How to write Season Two Dialgoue for Michael:
1- "Where's my son" or "They've got my son"
2- Something unique to the scene
3- See #1.
(Mix it up a bit by inserting "boy" for "son")

Michael's a clown. He killed Ana-Lucia, a former LA cop (he DID know that, right?) then didn't think to build Team Bad-Ass which could have consisted of Sayid, Jin, Eko and Locke. But if his band of five gets in trouble, they'll have some decent calvary.

Why didn't the Other have Locke on their shopping list? "Henry" said he was coming for Locke, but if "Henry" was captured, don't you think they would've included Locke on the list?

Very interesting that the Others had Sawyer's real name. I had thought that they knew everyone's name from observation. Locke called Sawyer "James" once..but I don't feel that would've been picked up. Just makes me think that the mysterious Alvar Hanso manipulated events and had a reason for everybody to be on that plane. A couple of episodes back, I felt that the Hot Chic who visited Jack about being a "miracle worker" was an agent of Hanso.

Oh yeah...there's ANOTHER new Hanso Foundation website.

I remember thinking it weird that Sawyer was the only one that Mr. Friendly did NOT address by name during the initial confrontation. Friendly was all like "John" and "Jack" but never "James" or "Sawyer."

Here's (lost.cubit.net) a screencap of The Door. And here (lost.cubit.net) is the blast door map. There is a "scratched out" hatch, it seems, on the opposite shore.

IMDB is never to be trusted 100% for cast listings, because it can be edited by anybody. For the real deal (which could be incomplete), go straight to ABC. The episode press release is here (thefutoncritic.com), and here's the official guest cast listing (both are spoilerish)...

If you're reading, then you don't care, so I highlighted the big surprise...

Guest starring are Malcolm David Kelley as Walt, Henry Ian Cusick as Desmond, Sam Anderson as Bernard, M.C. Gainey as Mr. Friendly, Michael Emerson as Henry Gale, Clancy Brown as Kelvin Inman, Tania Raymonde as Alex, April Grace as Ms. Klugh, Alan Dale as Charles Widmore, Stephen Page as Master Sergeant, Michael Bowen as Pickett, Sonya Walger as Penelope, Len Cordova as man no. 1, Alex Petrovitch as man no. 2, Eyal Podell as young man and Cathy Foy as receptionist.

We finally meet the mysterious Kelvin! But wait, we've ALREADY met him! (see "One of Them")

I'm starting to see Eko as sort of a Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan figure. Not that he's a mentor, but in that he knows better and walks the straight path (or tries as best he can), and being a priest, doesn't hold judgment. Not everyone has quieted their minds, especially those who are looking to form an army and kill the others.

Locke and Eko, by staying spiritual and listening to the environment around them, have found some "answers". At certain key points, survivors such as Claire and Charlie have also been given visions (Charlie's dreams and Claire's fortune teller), but they are too distracted by the other things going on and aren't listening as intently as Eko and Locke are.

The visions have guided Eko and Locke to certain answers, and when the rest of the survivors quiet their mind and trust their instincts, they will find them too. They will know when they are ready to know, but right now, Eko and Locke are the only ones that can "see" (and even their sight is limited to what they know as they know it).

So, we'll finally learn what happens when the clock hits rock bottom, why the plane crashed, and what's on that boat, eh? For real, this time? Can't wait!

The recap at Entertainment Weekly (ew.com) had some interesting insight about this. Specifically, what's the name of the dog that waits for people in hell? Cerberus, which we've seen before on the blast door map (lost.cubit.net). If this is foreshadowing on the part of the writers, that can't bode well for Michael.

Also, I love that now that Eko believes in the hatch, he took his shoes off upon entering, just like Locke did on his first visit.

And jfkfc, thanks for the spoiler tags!

I get the feeling that Michael is going to either confess that he killed Ana or Libby, or he's going to take his own life. He's already showing signs of being absolutely horrified at what he's done and what consequences await him. The only reason I'm not CERTAIN he'll do this is because he's still very dedicated to Walt. Wouldn't be doing Walt that much good if he's in a shallow island grave, now would he?

Wait, a dog? This adds onto my theory that Vincent is the real key to the whole mystery. After all, dog spelled backwards is god.
