In the first one, they talk to Steve Austin about great wrestlers from the state of Texas.

| #2 Posted on 7.3.06 2314.55 | Instant Rating: 5.97 | I really like the idea. Also be sure to check out the main section of Wrestling Hotbeds (WWE.com), where they currently have profiles of guys like Barry Windham, Gino Hernandes, "Outlaw" Ron Bass, the Duncums, and others.
I think it'd be REALLY cool if they had more of them in that section, and in addition to talking to someone like Austin about the territory had stuff like a timeline, features on different promotions, some more videos (specifically of stuff in some of those territories rather than just a WWF appearance here and there), etcetera. Hell, they seem to own enough of the tape libraries to do it.
As for the Austin interview itself, I thought it was cool to read his perspective as both a former wrestler and a fan. Also amusing was the interviewer attempting to throw JBL in there, and Austin more or less saying "nice guy, but no way."

"I remember one time I felt like I was kinda getting stale in the ring, and I was watching Eddie and how good his matches were every night. Then something clicked and I said 'hey, I want to work with Eddie Guerrero.' I wanted to work with someone I could have fun with. We didn't get a chance to work too long. But I really enjoyed the time that I did spend working with him. The guy was so hard on himself because he never thought he was doing as well as he could, but he was one of the best I’d ever seen in the ring."
My recollection is that when the Austin-Guerrero angle started, many of the rags stated that Austin wasn't pleased with working with Eddie. And I seem to recall that it was cut somewhat short, because Austin didn't like the direction it was going and felt it was "beneath him" or something like that to wrestle Eddie ... or was it to *lose* to Eddie?
Does anyone have a firmer memory of this? Am I on the right track, or am I completely misremembering? | Kevintripod

I do recall something like that also. I was thinking the exact same thing when I first read that.

I'm 99% sure Austin asked to work with Eddie, and then it only got cut short because of Austin's walkout. But there was a weird comment in, I think, Raw Magazine about how Austin was looking forward to working with Eddie because of the great matches they could have, but for some reason he was against it when WWE wanted to add Chris Benoit into the mix and Jim Ross had to really sell him on it. Which made no sense, but Austin sounded a bit off his nut, so who knows. Considering his neck, maybe he was worried about taking German suplexes.
Anyway, maybe you were thinking of that. But I'm almost positive he asked to be put with Eddie.

Austin was already feeling like he was in a creative slump and was having issues with the writing and he asked to be put with Eddie so he could have some fun. About two or three weeks into the program, before they could lead to a match, was Austin's walk out on the company.

Maybe I was merging the two in my mind -- that part of the discussion over Austin's walkout was a question of if he was doing it because he didn't want to job to Guerrero. I seem to recall some not-so-kind words from Austin after the karaoke skit with Eddie, but I don't have a clear memory of that. | Texas Kelly

It's good to see that the WWE isn't backing away from Batista or Cena. There's still some questions lingering over a few of the draft moves they either made or didn't make (Jericho being a prime example), but the stage is set for a solid run to Summerslam that may send the indicator down.
