And for those of you who don't know, Mass Transit (Eric Kulas) was a 17 year old who by some backdoor way found himself in an ECW match with The Gangstas, New Jack and Mustafa.
Well, long story short, New Jack messed the kid up pretty bad. See for yourself.
It's just a message board, people. Chill out. Now, go show your internet diapproval of me! YEA!
As soon as New Jack opens Mass Transit up, someone offcamera yells, "Get the fucking cops. He's 17." And contines to do so for a couple of minutes. The injuries don't seem as awful as I'd heard, but the doctor's response suggests it's serious.
The video's not great quality, but you can tell he looks REALLY young. Shame about the guy because a large guy wearing that uniform and named Mass Transit is pretty clever.

I'd heard about how badly he got cut, but you don't really see until the end. I could barely get through it.
Holy crap! He busted that kid up something fierce. The close up after the match was gruesome. His forehead was squirting like a Monty Python blood scene.

Bearing in mind it's probably not too hard to sell "getting stabbed in the head".
The comments on that page made me laugh a bit. And although it's gruesome and unfortunate, I gotta agree that if you're stupid enough to lie to get in a ring with New Jack you deserve anything you get.

I'd never seen it until today...that's a really messed up video. When the guy zoomed in it look almost like the gash totally separated the scalp from his cranium. Plus the blood was squirting with every heartbeat. Yeah that was a SERIOUS injury. Sick video too...I might watch it one more time...then I think I can put it into wrestling history.
God, that's ugly. He pretty much started scalping the kid, and I'm sure he would have done the rest if he could have gotten away with it. It's amazing that he still finds so much work.
At the begining of the match D-Von is looking at the kid like... man hes gonna get fucked up. In the middle you can see Mustafa kinda looked a little concerned to. I don't think New Jack meant to cut him that deep personally. The kid does start wiggling when hes doing the job so it may have been on accident. Does anyone have a link to New Jack's take on this incident? I don't remember what he said.
Semi Off-topic but for those who seen 101 Reasons Not To Be A Pro Wrestler. This ass kicking no where compares to the one they show of New Jack literally beating the shit out of some old chinese dude at some redneck indy show. I think he got a little riled up with the crowd spewing the N-word at him the entire match.

wasn't that the Gypsy Joe match? I don't think he was chinese, but yeah, I saw that match online too. this is all I could find right now, a snippet of it on Youtube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=GPtottNf-wo
The kid involved died back in 2002 but it had nothing to do with the New Jack incident. It was a heart attack/suicide/unknown causes depending on who you believe.

I think it was actually complications from gastric bypass.

Being only 17 at the time, he was young and just excited to be in the ring. It was probably a dream of his. If anything, I blame his father for lying for him (with the kid at the time being a minor), and not bothering to even get him proper training before entering such a dangerous situation. He put his son in a very dangerous situation, regardless of who was in the ring.
Let's also not give New Jack a pass on this. It wasn't difficult to tell that something was seriously wrong right after the blade job, but he kept going anyway. My first reaction when I first saw the video a couple years back wasn't so much that it was gruesome, but that New Jack has got to be the most disgustingly unprofessional wrestler on the planet. I had always heard he was difficult backstage, but this was a new kind of in-ring low. It resulted in me losing any respect I had for the guy.
The "hazing" argument doesn't really apply here either, since there's a big difference between working a little stiff on a kid and going to the lengths that Jack did. Perhaps I'm being a little too judgmental, but I really just don't think anything Jack did in the ring that night was called for. I'd be really interested to see what he has to say about the incident.

Oh without a doubt New Jack's crazy and dangerous, i wasn't trying to absolve him of any responsibility, and in no way did i mean to say the kid deserved to die, but it was still a really stupid thing to do on his part.

There's something weird about "WWE presents WWE's most annoying gimmicks". It's like: uh, you guys came up with these ideas. How do they define "annoying"? On purpose or accidentally?
