I am really, really sick of this ad campaign.

Is anyone still amused by these ads?

I liked when they were actually calling "fouls" on people at parties, BBQs, etc, but I'm not really into the "Reff School" ads they're running now.

I dont hate them or anything, they're just not funny.

I kinda thought they would give up this campaign last year after Busch turned it around on them in that commercial with the refs getting arrested for stealing Bud Light.

So yeah I don't know why they're still going. Were only slightly funny at first, now they're just annoying.

Color me irritated (if you can find that particular paint color in stock) by the campaign, but at least the commercials aren't pervasive enough to make me scream "STOP, STOP, STOP IT NOW." I hardly ever see 'em.

The big problem with these commercials is that Miller Lite is treating them as if they were this huge phenomena like the Budweiser Frogs that was wildly popular and demanded sequel after sequel. Definitely not the case.

And yet, not as bad as the band that did the "...and twins" song. When Coors Light drops you as being played out, that's not a sign to redo the same goddamn song for ESPN.

This has been killing me, but I can't find any info online to help me out...

Where do I know the "head referee" from? He's a definite "that guy," but I can't put my finger on where I've seen him before.

What I think is bad about the ads (as someone who spent 10 years in marketing) is that Miller is giving quality screen time to Budweiser in their ads. In addition to wasting their ad dollars by giving screen time to their competitors, it also makes them seem second rate by knocking their competitors product instead of simply promoting their own.

Pepsi often does this in their campaigns & I get the same impression. A recent ad with a Diet Pepsi machine & a variety of Coke diet drink machines coming & going (Diet Coke, Diet Coke w/splenda, Coke Zero, etc...) gave me the same impression. Why give Coke's entire diet line the airtime when promoting your product?? Stick to promoting your product.

Oh yeah... Guru I agree with you too. In addition to my opinion that the ads have an improper focus, I think those refs are just annoying & unfunny too!! :-)

YES! When that montage comes on ESPN on Mondays after the football weekend, I drop whatever I'm doing and turn the station. I hate that song, and I hate them redoing the song every week like it's going to get better.

"I LOVE...Brady getting scores...The Colts going for more...AND TWINS."

Ugh, kill me now.

Ralphie was ROBBED! I like the way he can change up styles and accents and still come off as real. His best routine was the one about bombing Iraq because he is tired of paying $2 a gallon for gas.
