Sam Adams or Guinness, but if we're going down the elitist microbrew route the Kalamazoo Brewing Company has a porter that is out of this world.

I don't drink hard liquor at all, it just kills me, but when I do I find either Jack Daniels & cola or Grey Goose & tonic are acceptable.

Corona with a lime when I'm feeling hetero.

Smirnoff Ice Triple Black when I'm not caring what people see me drink.

Favorite shot is the Vampire shot. Pure bliss.

For mixed drinks, Gin & Tonic here.

For beer, my favorite right now is New Glarus Spotted Cow, although I like all of their brews.

I typically drink a pint of Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale. If that's not available, I'll drink Big Rock Traditional Ale, Moosehead Pale Ale or Ohlund's.

I'll try anything with bourbon in it, as those reps from Knob Creek found out the hard way.

If I'm just drinking beer I'll drink nearly whatever, but I'm *very* particular when pairing beer with food.

I also like red wines and rums.

And the Rex Goliath Giant 47 Pound Rooster California Pinot Grigio is good too! (In addition to a prime contender for longest name of a wine under $10 per bottle.) Very, very light, but lovely subtlety with very delicate fishy things.

Vodka & tonic is the seasonal beverage of choice. Grey Goose rocks with cocktail onions or Bombay Sapphire martini very dry with lotsa olives is good if drinking seriously. Champagne or champagne cocktail for elegance & extended duration of drinking. Whichever wine goes with the food. For afters, Remy VSOP if I'm buying (or better if somebody else is.)

I only drink alcohol in social situations, and I don't drink beer. Usually I'll have something with Malibu in it.

What I drink depends upon my mood and the venue.

At a dinner party I am likely to drink either:
Grey Goose Martini straight up with huge olives (very dry)
OR
Vodka and Tonic with lime (Grey Gooose, Kettle One, Absolut).

If I am watching football I am likely to drink:
Yeungling, Amstel Light, or Miller Lite (heavier beers tend to give me a huge bloating feeling).

I have also tried those MANLY cooler drinks (e.g., Mike's Hard Lemonmade, Smirnoff Ice) and after two sips I get the worst stomach cramps EVER (every time). Coolers have the same effect--anyone else have that reaction?

I usually drink a good Bordeaux with dinner.

There's also a pretty good Chocolate Stout beer I can get from Trader Joes.

For beer I like either Corona (w/lime) or Heinekein. Also, when I lived in Canada I took a big liking to Rickard's Red, but that isn't easy to find here.

My girlfriend likes Cruzan Coconut Rum w/Diet Coke and I've taken to that lately since it's what's in the house, and I actually like it despite never being much of a rum person.

There, I fixed it for you.

A strict constructionist interprets the Constitution according to the language and original intent of the text at the time of its writing, in much the same way as a fundamentalist views the Bible. Fortunately, for strict constructionists, they have been endowed by God with the superhuman gift of being able to read the minds of people who died 200 years ago. Naturally, they use this power only for good -

Echoing most of what's been posted already, I'll be sampling a buffet of NBC/CNN/Comedy Central. Will be interested to see who tries to step up at NBC and take Russert's "spot."
