Oh by the way, with their rebranding, USA's added their WWE placeholder to their website:

http://www.usanetwork.com/sports/wwe/

I'll save you the click if you like:

I've never noticed before that John Cena's WWE Championship belt prominently says "SMACK DOWN!" on the side plate - oops

In other news, can we now assume Cena hangs onto the belt at least through October? No, but it's as good a stupid reason to think so as any...

Yeah, the "characters welcome" campaign has run for about two weeks now.

I know this because it runs about nine times during each episode of "L&O: SVU," my potmethcrack.

At least they are finally going back to USA, which they never should have left in the first place.

SVU is heroin, pure TV heroin.

Actually, I think where the belt says "SmackDown" in that pic says "WWE Champ" now.

Geez, couldn't the guy who designed Cena's belt have weighted the spinner so that the "W" points the right way? Every still photo I've ever seen of Cena carrying the thing has the logo pointing upside down like he's the Mattitude Heavyweight Champion.

The original CSI is my TV crack. That, and MXC.

I'm still wondering if WWE Raw will be pre-empted for Tennis or that dog show. I emailed USA concerning this, but I never received a reponse.

I believe that is still a yes. I caught it in a thread here on the W or the BTR messageboard and that was part of the reasoning to give the SNME slot for the pre-emtive weeks for the dog show and tennis.

I thought you were right, but this screencap of Raw last night from WWE.com shows otherwise...

The plate on the opposite side of the belt says WWE Champ (yes Champ, not Champion) which may be where the confusion comes in.

I thought for sure he was hurt right after that too. But when the match continued I figured he was OK. I don't like him but he is obviously one tough guy.
