<->I am thinking about the possible wrestlemania 21 matches that can or will be made. please post any thoughts here. I think that Batista will join Smackdown and will make it a Triple Threat match. The winner of the tournament at No Way Out will be John Cena. I think that somehow, JBL is gonna win at No Way Out, as crappy as it is. I think his cabinet will help him somehow like "EL Gran Luchadore did to eddie guerrero vs. jbl back in june or july in that cage match. But the cabinet will go through the door unless its filled with barbed wire. dont really know how it works. Or, for once, he'll win clean. So it'll be John Cena vs. Batista vs. JBL at WM21. It will be Kurt Angle vs. HBK. I dunno what will happen with the Wrld Heavywight title. I think it'll be some kind of Hardcore match with Kane/UT vs. Snitsky/Heidenreich. UT's streak will continue. It might be called the brothers vs. newlyweds match the way they're going. sick! I hope there will be another cruiserwight open match, but this time, a battle royal, but you only lose being tossed over the ropes, so you can go outside the ring and get chairs and tables and stuff. U.S. title, orlando jordan wins it from cena thanks to cabinet before WM, then O.J. vs. someone like Booker T or RVD or someone. Intercontinental Title: Benjamin vs. ????. Women's Title: Trish vs. VIctoria vs. Molly vs. Stacy. Stacy wins by a schoolgirl on molly AGAIN. Jericho vs. Hassan. Does anyone know when RVD, EUgene, and Lita will be back?

WrestleMania XX had 12 matches AND the Hall of Fame ceremony. I expect XXI to have something similar.

6 "MAIN EVENTS"
World Championship: Triple H [c] vs. Batista
-Batista chooses RAW.
WWE Championship: John Layfield [c] vs. John Cena
-Cena wins tournament after HBK costs Angle the No Way Out match.
Interpromotional: Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels
-See above.
Chris Jericho & Chris Benoit vs. Edge & Christian
-Hey, why not?
Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio
-Friendly rivalry match.
Interpromotional: Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
-Legend vs. Legend Killer.

6 SECONDARY MATCHES
Intercontinental Championship: Shelton Benjamin [c] vs. Muhammad Hassan
Grudge: The Big Show vs. Heidenreich
Grudge: Kane vs. Matt Hardy
2nd Annual Cruiserweight Championship Open: Funaki [c], Chavo Guerrero, Billy Kidman, Akio, Paul London, Spike Dudley, Scotty 2 Hotty, Shannon Moore, Nunzio and RAW's Matt Hardy V1 & The Hurricane

EDIT: To include new matches & stuff.

And 4 more with combinations of...
RAW: William Regal & Tajiri, La Resistance, Maven, Rhyno, Tyson Tomko, Trish Stratus & Stacy Keibler
Smackdown: Basham Brothers, Mark Jindrak & Luther Reigns, Dudley Boyz, Rene Dupree & Kenzo Suzuki, Booker T, Charlie Haas, Daniel Puder, Hardcore Holly & Carlito (if medically cleared)

Notes: No US Title match. If/when Cena wins they invoke the Ultimate Warrior rule and make the title vacant, leading to a tournament ending at Judgment Day. I have a feeling we'll see more 4-way Tag Title matches like last year just to get more guys a Mania payday.

From a storyline perspective, why the hell would Batista do that?

At some point Batista realizes that Orton was right in saying that HHH was hiding behind him and using him. And from a strategy standpoint Batista & Orton have a better chance of beating HHH by teaming up on him. Whoever wins could promise the other guy a title shot.

From a logistics standpoint...what the hell else is there for Orton to do? Face Christian? Then what do Benoit & Jericho do? Fight for the Tag Titles?

An interpromotional friendly rivalry match of Eddie/Benoit vs. Jericho/Rey? Yeah, not likely, but one can dream.

But why would Batista chance not winning the belt from HHH? If he realizes HHH has been using him, losing the match and having to go through Orton wouldn't be as satisying as it would be to beat HHH 1-on-1. And why should he help out Orton? Orton's had his shots at HHH, and couldn't get the job done. Batista is all about "his time", so why bring Orton in to overshadow your possibly biggest moment?

And from a non-storyline point, why throw Orton in there if the premise is to put over Batista as the #1 guy? It lessens Batista's accomplishment if he needs help to put away HHH. It's better for Batista's reign (if that is, in fact, the plan) to beat HHH clean 1-on-1.

Furthermore, they've just taken Orton out of the ME picture, and a running this concussion angle. Slingshotting him back up into a title match isn't going to help anyone at this point.

Orton, storyline or not, doesn't deserve to be in the title match at WM.

It's probably a pipe-dream, but something in Keith's Raw recap last week got me thinking about the possibility of Orton/Foley Vs. Edge/Christian. There's a shitload of backstory that could be brought into that.

Such as what, exactly? You disgrace me, spread lies about me and piss on my legacy, spit in my face literally and metaphorically, and I come out of retirement and embarrass myself by losing to you in my type of match, and now we team up? Orton and Foley did not have the kind of feud that results in respect, and if they did, the time to cement that respect was then, not now. And whose mother does Edge rape to deserve to be sucked through a wormhole back into a tag-team with Christian, seeing as how it's not the year 2000 anymore?

For all the talk about WWE just not acknowledging continuity, this sure is a quantam leap down the same slippery slope.

Your pipe-dream sounds like a pipe-nightmare to me.

-Orton is currently kinda feuding with Christian
-Orton has had on-and-off problems with Edge since last summer

Leads to:

-Orton being double-teamed by E&C going into Mania, leading to him begging Foley to tag with him because he's the toughest SOB he ever faced. Foley ums and ahs for a few weeks, maybe with Edge and Christian reminding the world of how they "regularly one-upped him" back in his Commish days. Presto! Foley shows up during an Orton beating, saves him, tense staredown, handshake, match made.

Other points:

-Edge right now is staring at a meaningless IC title match with Shelton as his one shot at something semi-interesting at Mania. I'd say him teaming one-off with his former partner-who has now become a big singles name in his own right-is a lot better assignment than dropping back down to fight for the midcard belt.

-Foley and Orton is maybe one of the easiest logic get-outs they could do, and certainly less insulting than at least a dozen other continuity errors they've mad ein the past year alone.

So what's the problem? it provides a big, heated tag match for the show, with a very good probability of it being one heckuva bout. It gives Orton a bit of a face rub from getting Foley onside-albeit a little begrudgingly-and it reteams E&C for a bit, providing a nice bit of nostalgia and some kiler promos.

I like the idea of having an Orton/Foley team. Foley could just come out and say even after all the crap Orton put him through, that Orton proved to Foley that he is a man. I believe that would get Orton over huge, and I mean it wouldn't be a meaningless tag match you have two popular former world champs on one side and then you have to hated heels on the other. It's not the main event, but I'd say it would be close to the top of the card.

Christian is a "big singles name"? He's become a glorified jobber. When was the last time Christian won a singles match?

Christian's an excellent heel who's successfully removed himself from the "tag team Wrestler" stigma. So he doesn't win all the time-particularly not now. He's over, he believable against upper-card faces and he's damn good in his role. I'd say he's amongst the big singles names of the Raw midcard.

I'll agree he's removed the "tag team wrestler" stigma from himself. The problem isn't that "he doesn't win all the time", it's that he doesn't win, period. If they'd give him a few mid-to-high profile wins, he'd be a lot better off. He did 2 clean jobs to HBK. He lost clean last night. I seriously can't remember his last win. Last year's WM? Unless he's facing a Stevie Richards level guy, I never expect him to win.

He's great on the mic, and a pretty good heel, but I think he needs a change of scenery. Maybe move him to SD in the next draft, and give him a push?

That's the thing, Christian has a stigma of being a guy that needs a sidekick. He was with Edge for a long time, then they split them and he didn't take off despite numerous IC title reigns. Then he was Jericho's running buddy until they turned that into a feud. Then he was Trish's boyfriend, and now he's Tomko's. His work isn't strong enough to stand on its own, I've never seen him click the way he's clickin' now when he's been by himself.

That being said, there's still no storyline incentive for Edge to get involved. I'd be much more interested in Foley coming in to fight Edge solo, saying he's can't take another minute of his whining. It beats wasting Edge in another feud with Orton, which is where he was when he returned almost a year ago.

That'd leave Orton/Christian to have another match, and since we already had a clean win to end that, make it some kind of gimmick match that plays into the concussion thing, like a last man standing match. Those two have such good chemistry, you can't even tell Orton sucks when they wrestle, unless he elects to do five consecutive minutes of chinlocks like he did last night.

I'm interested in selling my youngest daughter into slavery as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. She's a Georgetown sophomore, speaks fluent Italian, always cleared the table when it was her turn. What would a good price for her be? While thinking about that, can I ask another? My Chief of Staff Leo McGarry insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly says he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself or is it okay to call the police? Yeah, I know most people forget storylines (or have to for their own mental wellbeing i.e. Katie Vick) but I wonder if they'll boo Orton if he's ever face to face with Foley in the future- I know I will.

I also know it was just an angle, but I still cant forgive him for literally and metaphorically spitting in the face of everything Mick has done. Orton Sucks!

The RBC Center's website has the March 6th Raw main-event (I'm guessing one of those post-show main-event deals that they've been doing) as being Hunter v. Orton v. Batista. Not sure if that means anything, but it could be a tryout for a triple-threat at WrestleMania.

Personally, I feel that the crowd is WAY more interested in seeing Batista v. Hunter one-on-one. WWE should count their losses on Orton (not his fault, as they booked him horrendously), and just go full-board with Batista, because the crowd is seriously getting behind the guy and you do not want to water him down.

Orton's kinda caught in the whole "Rock & a Hard Place" scenario. There's no one a RAW to feud him with. Do you start working a program for him to feud with a Smackdown guy (who are short of Orton-caliber heels).

Quick scenario. Teddy Long tells Cena (after winning the title match opportunity for 'Mania) that he wants the US title defended at WM21. Cena has 2 options, he can vacate the title or give up his WWE title shot. Cena vacates the title and Teddy says that he's going to pick 4 guys from the WWE roster to battle for it at 'Mania. Orton finds a loophole or something to the effect that his RAW contract expired April 1st, etc. This could be a way to move Orton to Smackdown as well.
