The rules here are a lot stricter than at most other places*, so you'd almost have to find another board that is as well-behaved as this one to advertize at to keep things from falling apart.

I'm not saying that I'm against putting an ad on Fark (in fact, I think it's a good idea) ... it's just that, from what you posted, I gathered that you had reconsidered the idea and were already pulling the ad before it even started.
