CRZ, good job again tabulating. I can only imagine the low turnout makes your life easier.

I always enjoyed voting, but this year, I just couldn't drag my sorry ass to do it. Looking over the results though, I agree with most of them, so it wouldn't have mattered anyway. (Though I'm suprised that Trish got best gimmick and Heidenreich got worst gimmick. Surely, there were better gimmicks out there better than Trish's. I always thought Heidenreich was entertaining is that perverse so bad its good way.) Jim Ross reclaiming best announcer by 1 point from Michael Cole is interesting. I'm also surprised that Jericho whomped Foley in best interview. I don't think there's anything Jericho has done all year that can touch some of Foley's promos during the Orton feud. Good to see some Batista (brawler, improved) and Paul London (underrated) love on there.

Man, I missed the voting.

CRZ, didn't you post a link here last year that showed where you could vote? Did you not do that this year, or did you do it and I missed it?

Wouldn't the Steiner & Test nominations (Worst Tag Team, Worst Feud) be out of the running? I was sure that their tag team was done before Summerslam '03 (since they took each other on at it), and that the feud was concluded before Survivor Series '03 when Test got injured and Steiner turned heel.

Test & Steiner were a tag team at Armageddon 2003. They were in the Tag Team Turmoil match.

I'm a little confused. Batista was best 'brawler'? How many brawls has he actually been in, or even a no-DQ match? Then again, since Lesnar has won the last two years, I guess this could be just a fancy term for 'best power wrestler who is good but isn't really technicaly but let's give him an award anyway.'

I didn't know the awards were on, but had I voted, I probably would've ended up voting Benoit across the board anyway. Glad to see the Canadian Destroyer win Best Move....that thing is SICK.

I'm interested in selling my youngest daughter into slavery as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. She's a Georgetown sophomore, speaks fluent Italian, always cleared the table when it was her turn. What would a good price for her be? While thinking about that, can I ask another? My Chief of Staff Leo McGarry insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly says he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself or is it okay to call the police? Here's one that's really important because we've got a lot of sports fans in this town: touching the skin of a dead pig makes one unclean. Leviticus 11:7. If they promise to wear gloves, can the Washington Redskins still play football? Can Notre Dame? Can West Point? Does the whole town really have to be together to stone my brother John for planting different crops side by side? Can I burn my mother in a small family gathering for wearing garments made from two different threads? Think about those questions, would you? I don't remember what I did last year, but I always try to keep them separate (and hope that Rick, Keith and the other usual suspects don't post a link so that the rubes take over). A couple people asked me via email or PM and I did point them to rspw.org.

Foley? Triple H? Maybe even JBL?

JBL best brawler, I don't think so. Best bump taker, possibly. Foley kinda blurred the line in Best Brawler category, because some people tend to think it means someone who can take a good bump. I agree with Batista as best brawler though. Brawler to me, means certified ass kicker which Batista has been all year for Evolution.

I am shocked that HHH got love with best heel and JBL and him came in second or third in some of the better awards. I will say that Trish probably deserved best heel, so it was nice to see her get best gimmick though. I'm not outraged by any of the votes and agree with pretty much all of them. I'm just shocked people like JBL and HHH this year.

What with Scott Christ and his non-stop shill for IWA Mid-South .

I think he voted for IWA every chance he could. ARGH!

If it wasn't for Scott, IWA wouldn't have appeared on that list at all.

I would've voted for Foley, I guess. Geez, the art of the good old-fashioned hardcore brawl is really going out the window.

Shill? They're my favorite and in my opinion the best wrestling promotion in the States. I watched WWE, TNA, ROH and IWA MS mostly this year, so that's what I could comment on. Most of my favorite stuff happened in IWA MS.

The awards span pro wrestling, not just WWE or TNA, and for that matter, not just what I watch. Ryan Faulconer always votes mostly Japan, lucha and indies every year that I've paid attention. Is that a problem?

Also, my votes for IWA MS or anyone else hardly affected the results. Everything was still pretty much WWE across the board. I fail to see your qualm with or the issue of me liking IWA's product more than I like other stuff.

Have you watched any of their shows, by the way?

ahem...no I haven't watched any. It just seems to me that you are coming off as an elitest...that's all.

Ah, so we have a misunderstanding is all, because I'm not in any way intending to be an elitist. I would need to watch a lot more stuff than I do to be an elitist, anyway. Simply put, I just liked their product the best this year, but there was plenty of stuff from the other promotions I watched that I also liked.

The award I most disagree with is Jericho for best interview, I think this might be a case of living off past reputation as this year I just didn't see him doing anything that fresh, clever or memorable. His best interview might have been the "Goat boy" interview... I would have given the nod to someone like Foley who's intense interviews vs. Orton were amazing, if you wanted a full time performer, Regal is always good especially his early stuff with Eugene & Bischoff or Flair who's always out of control funny in his interviews. Maybe an outside possibility of Trish or JBL because of the drastic change in their personalities, but for me right now they are both a little too inconsistent for this award & are probably a better fit in Best gimmick for now, which they were 1 & 2.

Glad to see Paul London win Most Underrated, even though seeing at the past winners the award really boost their career after getting it, Benoit of 98 was the last one who became a much bigger star after his underrated run... A little surpired London hasn't overtaken Mysterio in best high flyers yet.

HHH is funny as he got a lot the negative awards but still won Best Heel. I don't think anyone is wrong, at times HHH really is an amazing heel, I especially liked his "befriending Eugene" angle which I think is underrated & not given it's deserved due to the strange crowd at their final match. (Don't think it was top 3 in the year IMO but I thought it was good)... Congrats to Cena for having 2 of the 4 worst moves in wrestling, being the bread to Scotty & Rikishi gimmicked moves. I would put the FU in first place as it's the laziest looking finisher in wrestling today.

smark/net attack wienerville advisory holds at ORANGE alert - High (JBL is STILL WWE champion and now smarks arch enemy HHH is the World Champion. Major red threat, but the undercard seems okay. The alert holds... for now)- 9/19
