I still think Fuddrucker's is better (and bigger!), but it's not like it's so much different from the "Six Dollar Burger" they were offering before. The problem is if you want the goodies you kinda have to get just 1/3 pound instead of the 2/3 pounder. (I prefer the western bacon cheeseburger version, myself. The mushroom one's pretty good, too)
I'm just wondering if Carl's Jr. is offering the same dealio as their Hardee's counterpart?

I've yet to order one, but I will. Oh, I will.

I tried eating one of the 2/3 pounders back in June just for kicks. I could barely finish the burger, and I basically couldn't move for the rest of the day. Completely ridiculous.

Packers FB William Henderson was working the drive-thru at a Hardee's near Lambeau Field on Monday, pushing that new burger. He signed a bunch of stuff (including the box they came in!?), and proceeds from all Monster Thickburgers sold there that day went to his diabetes-fighting charity. (More Packers-in-the-community info here.)
He's also put together a Packer beefcake calendar to raise funds for that cause...

...featuring several Packers in, uh, less than a full game uniform. Makes a great Christmas stocking stuffer for the ladies. :-)
Good ol' William...such a legit class act and great guy. And I'd say that even if I didn't work with him every week on Monday Night Kick-Off.
And yes, I ate that gargantuan burger thing. I skipped the next meal (a rarity for a true Wisconsinite like yours truly)...but it was worth it. Oh, the cholesterolicious goodness.

They were recently touting the "Double Six Dollar Burger" and that one looked like it came with more trimmings. No butter though, that I'm aware of.

| #10 Posted on 9.12.04 1217.33 | Instant Rating: 4.00 | They actually had the Monster burger before, back before the whole Thickburger thing started. I always missed it when they did away with the old line of burgers. Now it's back, and I'm happy. Why? Because it's the one major fast food burger in my area that already comes without lettuce and tomato, so I don't have to make a special order. Yes, my priorities are screwy.
Now if Wendy's will just bring back the Monterey Ranch Chicken instead of this Wild Mountain crap, I'll be in the middle of a personal fast food golden age.

The funny thing is, Hardee's commercial for the Monster says "The largest double-patty burger in the country". Yet their own sister chain is offering the double-patty Six Dollar, which is two half-pound patties.
Carl's Pastrami is a good one. The Pastrami Burger has been a staple of the regional chains around Salt Lake City, and it's nice to see it in a larger presence. I hope Hardee's picks up on it as well. | Guru Zim

I'll have it again, but to be honest, I think I'd rather get the Pastrami burger double pastrami hold the burger. I don't know if that is an option, though.
I was surprised at how much I liked pastrami on a Hamburger bun.

Granted, I'll eat the pounder at Fuddruckers, and I'll put any all you can eat Crab legs, wings, shrimp, or chinese joint out of business, but I refuse to eat an amount of fast food that huge. Fast food is gross as it is, and piling more onto the bun really doesn't seem like it'll make it better to me.
