I hope you're not talking about The Eliminators. The fact that people praised them as so great is more a testament to Paul Heyman's ability to book incredibly than on the merits of the tag team itself. John Kronus was at best mediocre (and at worst sloppy) in the ring.

That's the story I heard. That Bell wanted to look good infront of his friends and family, and he took liberties with Saturn in the ring.

I'm not buying that WWE would give someone a silly gimmick on purpose as a punishment - that just defeats the whole object of putting on a good TV show. Plus Saturn was still working RAW and PPV under that gimmick; it's not as if he was demoted to Heat.

I would rate them, at the time, the best tag team there was. I mean, they both could brawl, both do high spots, both worked very, VERY well together, and if some tag team would whip out a Total Elimination today, I would mark out like a mad man. They had no good tag teams to go up against, to showcase themselves. The Dudleys, while an enjoyable gimmick in ECW, worked like shit. The Gangstas? Not even sure how they got on TV. Who else did they have to work against?
And, at the time, I dont really recal any GREAT tag teams. New Age Outlaws? Hardy's? Edge and Christian hadnt hit thier stride yet, and were still "those gothic lifestyle leading kids". Harlem Heat wasnt tagging, nobody in WCW was really doing anything special. So, in context to the TIMEFRAME they were the greatest in theland, AT THAT TIME.

Granted, they cant carry The Midnites or RNR Express' jockstraps. But, for who they had to wrestle and how good they worked together, they were fantastic.

Thank you for your irrelevant opinion.

"That's the story I heard. That Bell wanted to look good infront of his friends and family, and he took liberties with Saturn in the ring."

Brian Gamble! Observer: "During the match, Saturn's opponent, Brian Gamble, stopped selling Saturn's attacks, and kept saying to Saturn that it was his home town and he had to win the match infront of his family. He wouldn't go to the ground, and twice double-crossed Saturn during spots. Saturn's eye started bleeding after Gamble kicked him, and Saturn took him down to calm him. At another point in the match, Saturn busted Gamble's nose. At the end of the match, Saturn had to muscle Gamble into position for the finisher, and Gamble at first wouldn't tap to the submission. Saturn was forced to apply it more legitimately, and when Gamble couldn't escape from the hold, he had to tap."

Considering why Saturn has been out this past year, I find not mentioning him to be in poor taste. True, he is not a success right now - because he got shot in the neck saving a strange woman from rape.

But Saturn hadn't made public his reasons for being out of action until just recently.

Quite unprofessional. I would think he would know better, but apparently he didn't. He's a jobber, and we all know in a Superstar vs. Jobber confrontation, jobber loses (the only thing that I can think of that doesn't work with this rule is when the Dudleyz were matched up against jobbers on RAW, and Flair, being the guest referee, disqualified Buh Buh for using a closed fist to the head)

*EDIT*
Also quite unprofessional for Saturn to get all pissed like that with Bell.
