Hell, it’d even be appropriate given all the other rockers from the 80s who are reuniting nowadays. If Slash and Duff can do it, why can’t Marty and Shawn?

Plus, I was an impressionable little kid back during the infamous Barbershop scene, so seeing Shawn now come to Marty's rescue in real life gets me all marky and nostalgic.

I'd have to guess once Marty's life is stable, Shawn would invite him backstage to an event. Whether he gets a job or not, who knows. I don't know if Marty is in good shape, either...let alone whether he's showing his age.
At least there's some good news in the world of wrestling for once. You'd think this would be a little bigger than it's being treated. Aren't people glad to have him alive rather than reading that he's another name to the growing list of wrestlers who's now dead?? | Kane Is Ugly

When the rockers broke up and Marty basically didnt go anywhere, I was pissed. Oh well, at least he is happy, or thinks he is happy anyway.

So... You would rather have seen Marty go deeper and deeper in the downward spiral and then die than be "Born Again?" What the heck is your problem?

This sucks?? Whether you agree with the religion or not, I can't see how you can say "this sucks". The man says he was considering suicide until this happened. So you'd rather he die than become "just another Born Again"? That's just cold, man.

I think it was in reference to him becoming a born again Christian, not him getting his life back together.
There is a difference, just in this case it happens to be very closely related.

It's good to hear that Marty is seemingly off the wrestling dead pool.
And it's also nice to see that washed up athletes with big guilt complexes about their rowdy pasts are still rushing towards religion when their money runs out. (Although, to be fair, I'm sure Janetty hit bottom years ago.)

Great to hear CRZ!!!
That last line was a joke but seriously this is a great thing to hear. I had, oddly enough, wondered what happened to Marty. It really makes me feel good that we didn't have to hear about him dead in a gutter which is what it sounded like he was close to doing before Shawn, by the grace of God, called his phone. These are the simple good things in life that you can appreciate when they happen. It's also what makes life so grand. :-D
