Now honestly, some of the Tees are unbelievable! Trish and Bigs got some bad ones. I myself only have 3. The Austin 3: 16 Venom one with the Snake Eyes and Fangs on it (which isn't that embarassing, although it is X-L which my body is not), a Rock one with a picure of the Rock on it. (Which is very embarassing, because it say Rock Hard on it when I have evidence to the contrary) and the Kurt Angle It's True It's True! one with the big 'I' on the back (which is the least embarassing in my opinion). What is the most embarassing (or least embarassing) WWE Tee? The HBK ones are alright, even if they look like they are preaching.

The only wrestling shirt I ever felt comfortable wearing in public was a blank white shirt that said "Right to Censor" on it. But it was more an ironic punk thing than a wrestling thing. And anyway, I mail-ordered it from some independent site, it probably wasn't WWF-authorized.

By and large, wrestling isn't 'cool' by society standards, so it's no surprise wrestling tees aren't cool either. However, WWF/E has historically made shirts over-the-top and overdesigned, to the point where even if it were a local sports team shirt it'd be uncool. I'm specifically thinking of Sable shirts with graphics, and The Rock shirts where every square inch is covered by a catchphrase.

For a brief period of time, D-X and Austin 3:16 shirts were cool in 1998. Even then, the self-censorship of D-X's "S*ck It" was an embarrassing joke in my high school. The simplicity and mysteriousness of Austin 3:16 shirts is the reason why no WWE shirt will ever be that popular.

I always liked the Kientai "EVIL" t-shirt. That could be worn in public no problem. And the Mankind smiley face shirt is one I own that I wear out now and again. But for the most part, WWE shirts are WAY over designed. It's the simplicity and ambiguity in the popular shirts like those and the Austin 3:16 shirts that make them "acceptable" for social wear. Only other wrestling fans will really get them. Non wrestling fans wouldn't really know what its about and ignore them.

I liked the Kurt Angle "Submit" shirt.

And I think understated is the way to go. The garish catchphrase on the back is SO high school...

Least embarassing: The first ever "Austin 3:16" with the skull on the back!

Most embarassing: Big Show´s "Big all over"! Who would wear such a shirt on the street?

...The very first Tazz WWE shirt wasn´t bad as well! (orange w/ "tribal/13" on the front and "The mood is about to change" on the back)

Its funny, here in England they are deemed to be an unfashionable thing to wear about town an object of ridicule even, unless you are under ten years old. In fact the only time I can say i've ever worn the ones that I own, were at WWE PPV's over here or around the house. Ive been a wrestling fan for almost 14 years! but I would never consider wearing a wrestling Tee outside of my home.

However I do remember a guy I used to know that would'nt think anything of proudly parading around the local bars and night clubs in my area wearing his Austin 316 and DX shirts tucked into his jeans as if though they were trophies. I fondly remember watching him as he desperately tried night after night standing at the bar trying to chat up the local female contingent of the town while wearing his too big for his face glasses and his black XL 100% Whoop Ass Tee on his 100 pound frame.

Ohh... how me and my friends would snigger and laugh behind our hands, I mean i have no problem admitting I own some wwe t-shirts hell ive even got some rock sunglasses and elbow pads (Dont ask me why?.. It felt like a good idea at the time) I just don't think there the thing to be seen in around town if you care about fashion in any way and want to be successful with the opposite sex. In fact as far as I can remember that guy never did get lucky.

I wear my WCW Goldberg "Who's Next?" and NWO shirts all the time. Of course I couldn't care less what people actually think about me when I wear them, but neither of those is really that over the top.

I could hardly give a damn about what's cool and what's not, since I'm not in high school anymore. I have a bWo shirt and a Raven tee that I wear semi-regularly. However, most of the shirts that WWE has out these days don't really appeal to me at all, as most of them are just downright ugly.

A chick that wears wrestling shirts... OK, I think I just found yet another reason why I'm still single.

I have a lot of wrestling shirts, most don't even fit me anymore yet I hold onto them since I am a big wrestling fan. The only shirts that fit me are my "Black and White nWo", "Red and Black nWo", and old "WCW Bam Bam Bigelow" shirt. And I wear them anywhere. Don't really care what people think.

Besides making some shirts that I really dislike, WWE does one thing I hate, they don't make shirts big enough for me really. The biggest size shirt WWE usually offers is XXL. I need at least a good 3 or 4X just to fit nice. I am not fat just really tall.

BTW, I do like the the new Benoit shirt. I wish WWE would make more "non-black" shirts.

The Eddy shirt he was wearing last week is kind of cool. It's a blatant Scarface rip off, split down the middle with black on one side and right on the other. Except of course it has a picture of Eddy in the middle with Latino Heat written at the top. I'd count it as the tightest shirt out there if only they took the Latino Heat off the front and wrote Lie, Cheat, and Steal on the back.

I wouldn't consider most WWE shirts, and the few I would consider, they always ruin it by including something on there that I would not be caught wearing in public. I will not wear a shirt with a ridiculous catchphrase on it, or even worse, a picture of a pro wrestler.

The mentality behind WWE marketing is that they try to cram as much stuff on each shirt to make it undoubtedly a WWE product. That is, let's say tomorrow they gave Christian a nice-looking logo. A t-shirt with just that logo would sell nicely. But what marketing would do is put the logo on the front with a picture of Christian underneath it, with a "Penetrate the Peep Hole"-like phrase on the back with another picture of Christian picking his nose or something on each sleeve. It'd ridiculous.

They think by WWEizing it, they're better marketing their overall product. I think otherwise. If they had genuinely good-looking shirts to sell that didn't necessarily have to have pro wrestling stigmatized all over it, thousands of more people would buy it and it would enhance the product. Why? Wrestling fans already know which shirts are associated with wrestling, but on top of that, the majority of the public would end up being curious if they saw dozens of those shirts running around, instead of now wher ethey instantly laugh at how anyone would be wearing a shirt with a huge ugly hoss on the front named A-Train with a "Big and Hairy" phrase on the back. See the success of Austin 3:16 or Cactus Jack.

I have the original Y2J shirt. I ordered it back in August of '99 and had hoped to at least get it in time for the Y2K celebrations for the double meaning, sorta (first name is Joshua). Needless to say, I didn't get the shirt until something like March of 01 thereby ruining any kind of humor attempt with that shirt at all.

I also have the original Austin 3:16 shirt. Wore it over my track uni back when I was in high school.

This reminds me of the time I was accosted by a rabid Goldberg fan outside a movie theater last year.

A friend of mine attended a Smackdown taping a few years ago and she got me a "Jerichoholic" T-shirt. Fast forward to a couple weeks after Goldberg and Jericho had their PPV match, when I was waiting outside the theater for my friends wearing that shirt. Out of nowhere, this crazy-looking dude gets right in my face: "AWW MAN GOLDBERG KICKED JERICHO"S ASS MAN! JERICHO'S JUST A PUNK BITCH MAN AND GOLDBERG KICKED HIS LITTLE ASS!!" See, at first, I didn't know what was going on, since I didn't realize what shirt I was wearing (normally I just grab a shirt out of the drawer and leave without looking at it), so this just scared the hell out of me.

Ever since then, if I ever wear that Jerichoholic shirt, it's always under a sweater or long-sleeve shirt.

The only wrestling shirt I've bought since the "Attitude Era" began is the black w/red print "Raw is War" logo, thinking I might wear it around-nope. Not even around the house.

I used to have a cool Run DMC t-shirt in high school. It was black with their logo and "Raising Hell". But the back had lyrics "We slay all suckers who perpetrate and lay down law from state to state". I wish they left the back blank. People were always trying to read it and saying "What's that supposed to mean?" I started wearing my jean jacket over it so people couldn't see. I also wore a "I'm Bart Simpson, Who the Hell are You?" T-Shirt. I guess I was rebelling by wearing shirts that said "hell". That Simpsons shirt was bold back then, but so tame now in the days of South Park and others.

I wear all my wrestling shirts in public, which are the Austin 3:16 Blood From a Stone one, the first WWF Tazz shirt, Cheat 2 Win, D-Generation X, and about 3 different Jericho ones.

I have nWo black-and-white, nWo Wolfpac and Four Horsemen T-shirts, and I don't mind wearing any of 'em really. The Wolfpac shirt, with the “Bad is back, and it's here to stay” phrase on the back, would be embarrassing, I guess, if I cared about it.

The original nWo and Austin 3:16 shirts were HUGE, and I'd always see high schoolers wearing them (maybe that's just Arizona). The further it falls from the public eye, the less wide spread it becomes, which I like.

I've loved wrestling since the early 90's and pissed me off when everyone starting walking around talking about the Rock and Steve Austin like they'd been big fans for the past 7 years. I like to stand out, dammit.

I own:

Austin 3:16 written in BLOOD with a picture of Austin on the back from the Bret Hart Wrestlmania 13 match with a caption that says "Blood from a Stone." My favorite one.

The Austin "Alchol Fueled" shirt.

The first Triple H shirt after his big return in 2002. It had the big red Germany Iron Cross on the front. I bought it at the first live event I attended. (see, I didn't always dislike the guy.)

A generic-ish Rock tank top with a big picture of a menacing Brahma Bull on the front with the words "The Rock" on the back.

And the original D-X T-shirt, although I lost that one while moving so I can't remember what it had on it exactly.

I also plan to order the Eddie Scarface shirt here this week, but I'll wear a sweater over it or something....being a white guy with a shirt that says "Latino HEAT" on the front is a little awkward, once again, living in Arizona.
