...It's a B. What the hell? Who thought a 'B' would be a cool logo? There's also supposed to be a uniform change as well, but they say they're keeping the striped helmets.

I'd say thats a shame but who really cares about the Bengals? Although a "B" is just a terrible idea for a team logo, which pretty much goes for any letter.

Letters = lame when you change to that in 2004.
Isn't the whole purpose of changing logos to make your gear look good so you can sell a load of merchandise? Somehow I don't see the orange and black B catching on as the next big thing. It's too bad, too, because with the Bengals getting better they could have hit something with a fresh new look.

This reversed image helmet, with orange stripes on a black background instead of black on orange, was first seen during an interview with head coach Marvin Lewis on the NFL Network this season. There has been speculation that the Bengals are headed for a change, but the team claims that this helmet is a unique creation made especially for Lewis and given to him by a personal friend.
Of course, it's better than this old proposed Dolphins helmet:

It was bad enough when Flipper started showing HGH Rage.
Although really, when you talk about merchandising and helmets, they're not exactly baseball caps. You can put a picture/drawing of it on a t-shirt, but otherwise I don't even think parents of hyperactive children buy football helmets.
