And then we’ve got people like Triple H, who I loved. I was, to be honest, resistant to him. It was New Line’s idea. I met with him, and I was really skeptical. *Really* skeptical. But not only did he do a great job, he’s a super cool guy. I loved him, loved him, loved him, loved him. Loved him so much, I wrote more stuff for him in the movie. He ended up having very good comedic timing; he was very good at making fun of himself. He got it. He totally got it, and understands how to make the transition.
He then mentions that Triple H's character is Parker Posey's character's body guard, then goes on about the rest of the movie.

|  #2 Posted on 24.2.04 1329.19 | Instant Rating: 2.13 | As much as I believe HHH has become a stagnating presence in WWE programming, the few times I've seen him outside that realm, i.e. on Conan O'Brien's show or what have you, he's been funny, intelligent and charismatic. I've every faith he'll do well in a role like this, which might lead to further work in movies....which might mean longer absences from the ring...which will mean that other workers in the WWE, especially on Raw, will have a chance to shine.
Remember, when HHH was out with his quad injury, Benoit, Angle and Jericho basically carried the entire company until he returned.

Well, not so much Benoit. His neck injury occured less than a month later.

Yeah, it was amazing how Benoit carried the company during that time.
Excecpt for the fact that three weeks later he was out until 5 months after HHH returned. But other than that, yes, he carried the company on his fragmented neck.

Ok, the ivasion angle sucked in the end ... maybe even from the beginning ...
BUT:
-No Triple H!
-RVD being over huge from the start and getting a world title shot at his third wwe ppv!
-His matches with Jeff Hardy!
-The ladder match between Edge and Christian!
-Benoit and Jericho beating the 2 men power trip for the tag gold and challenging Austin afterwards!
-Jericho winning the big one from the Rock!
-Undisputed Jericho winning the even bigger one against Austin (and Rock in one night)!
-Angle vs. Austin at summerslam!

I'm really pissed that I stopped watch from about 2 years and missed all of the Invasion stuff. I mean, I know it had its ups and downs, but I didnt even know the entire thing was happening until it was all over. Probably the era where the WWF/E changed the most in the least amount of time. | bigtotoro

1. This is going to be really cool...I bet Sting could beat up the Undertaker(it brought out the inner 9 year old in me).

and that was it basically. oh yeah, i forgot how none of the "established" types really did anything to make the new guys look good in the slightest. so, utter failure...but other than that it was great. | OKterrific

That pretty much sums it up perfectly for me. I remember being thrilled when I watched Heyman do his promo, only to bury my face in my hands just an hour or so later when Steph and her new cans made their appearance.

If anybody deserves credit for carrying the entire company during HHH's injury, it wis Stone Cold Steve Austin. He was in the zone for most of that time.
- He had just made his heel turn shortly before HHH's injury and he was absolute gold on the backstage skits and promos.
- Immediately following HHH's injury, he had a great feud against Benoit and Jericho. This feud included many great matches, particularly a week in which he had a great match with Benoit on a RAW from Calgary and then an EVEN BETTER match with Benoit on the following SmackDown from Edmonton.
- Austin also had his great skits with Kurt Angle, Vince, and Debra.
- He had his turn against the WWF at the Invasion PPV's 10 man tag followed by his run as the paranoid and attention starved leader of the Alliance.
- He had a great series of matches with Kurt Angle.
- After the Invasion angle was over, he turned face, which really wasn't great but had its moments because of Austin's talent. Remember the grocery store brawl with Booker T. That would have been horrible if not for the running commentary from Austin ("Price check on a jackass")

Well, this is just shocking. You mean that he wasn't a jerk and didn't make a lot of backstage demands? On his first Hollywood motion picture? He actually tried to ingratiate himself with the director?
