Did they just puke this up? i don't ever remember hearing anything about this. I wonder who will get inducted. i always hear JR say, "his WWF (E) hall of fame career is only getting better" or something along those lines. sorry if this was obvious or has been discussed, it's new to me. i think Bret Hart should be the man of the night, let's hope so...

WWE has asked Bret if he's willing to do it, but Bret's noncommital. He says he's worried he'll get choked up.
Jesse Ventura, Billy Graham, & Bobby Heenan are expected to be inducted, though.

I wonder if they could introduce a WCW section to the hall of fame. I'm assuming it won't be a phyical building, but perhaps a website committed to it would be nice. | InVerse

I forget the source, but I read somewhere once that there is a section of Titan Towers (I'm thinking part of the entryway, but I could be making that up) that has a list of the Hall of Fame nominees or some such. | geemoney

Well he sure did more than James Dudley, who was inducted....wasn't he the McMahons limo driver or something?
Anyway, it's a shame that WWE has let the Hall of Fame sit around for YEARS and not inducting anyone. It'd be nice if they could do some presentation every two years or something.

Hey that sounds pretty good. I wish it was every year like they orginally did. It has been a long time since the Hall of Fame was around. Wasn't the last cermony around 93 or 94? Man talk about clean, dusting, and cobwebs on this sucker. *LOL*

I'd put Jesse in there for the same reason JR should eventually be there: For a long time, Jesse was the voice of the WWF. His announcing was one of the most memorable things about the company during their boom in the 80's.
Having said that, I'm sure the reason they're inducting him is more because of his fame in later years than his work as an announcer. I just think he deserves to be part of the 'hall', regardless.

| #12 Posted on 12.2.04 1532.25 | Instant Rating: 6.50 | Of course their hall of fame is a sham. It's not meant to be a who's who, or anything like it -- just a bunch of people whom Vince wants to honor at any given moment.
Bruno, Bret and Hogan would be in there, of course. So would about a dozen other people who have burned their bridges with Vince at one time or another (Roddy Piper comes to mind off the top of my head.)
Sadly, there will never be a 'serious' H of F for pro wrestling unless someone unaffiliated with WWE that has a bit of money to burn could start it up.

According to our illustrious leader, that's no longer a matter of Vince being petty and just Sammartino holding a grudge, which, based on comments I've heard from Sammartino in recent years, seems likely to me. | CRZ

Serious, sure, but is it really recognized? I mean, no offense, but I would say that 90 % of the wrestlers out there would take a WWE Hall of Fame honor over that one, if for no other reason that because it's the only major wrestling group out there anymore.
I was just looking at this site, and by the board members and by the criteria they use, it is very much `serious', so I apologize for the language on that... I just mean something that can be universaly recognized as a true 'Hall of Fame' for the business. That's all I meant.

Vince wants to include Bruno. Vince has spent the past couple years trying to make amends with some of those he's split from (Hart, Graham). Bruno wants nothing to do with it.
