My idea is...(fantasy booking ahead)
Have Vince win the Buried Alive match. Since it's inter-brand, have Kane help Vince.
Undertaker goes on the shelf for a while...Say, til Rumble.
Have Kane go on a tear in the mean time. Have him just squash Shane. Have him squash even Austin.
I'm thinking that everyone on the roster should be kinda scared of him.
Have wrestlers be weary when they know they have a match with him. Have him no sell a lot. Just have him be a force to be reckoned with.
For fun, you could have Bischoff sign a guaranteed contract with Kane (to get back at Austin) that says that no matter what, no one can fire or suspend him (like the immunity Test had). That way Kane can go on a tear.
Give him some kind of big match at the Rumble. Maybe even underdog Shane (if done right, you have Shane beaten back down to underdog status, as opposed to how it is now). Have Kane dominate the match (of course token offense by Shane, but no matter what Kane still kicks out/no sells/etc). Have it look like Kane is finally goin to "finish" Shane, then have the Deadman come out.
The announcers could even play it out:
JR: This monster is unstoppable, King! What is Shane going to do? Kane is going to kill him!
King: I don't know JR. Everyone, even Austin, is scared to fight Kane.
lights drop
JR: OH MY GAWD KING! What's going on?!?!?!
(BONG!!!)
King: Is that who I think it is?
JR: That sounds familiar! Is that? Is that???
light rise, Undertaker stands in ring. Full Deadman costume.
JR: It's the Undertaker, King!
Then Taker proceeds to kick Kane's ass. Have Kane rally back a bit (maybe even chair shots to take Taker "down") then have Kane Tombstone Taker. And just as it appears that Kane has him whipped, Taker does the Zombie Situp. Kane recoils in confusion and fear. Taker chases him off.
Have Taker chase after Kane until WM.
Personally, I like this idea, but I am biased torwards it. :)

If the Dead Man should come back, it'll be after some "motorcycle accident" thing, sorta like HHH no selling death from Austin. It'll show the bike, twisted and mangled, and then the Taker sits up.

| #5 Posted on 31.10.03 1142.22 | Instant Rating: 3.44 | The problem I have with the idea is that Undertaker, assuming your talking first few versions of the Undertaker not the borderline satanic era, is that he will be wrestling quality Competition each TV show and not Tom Stone or Red Tyler.
What made that gimmick work was the old philosophy that less is more. You only saw the Undertaker be the Undertaker four or five times a year on PPV, and a couple of times a year on the syndicated shows to set up feuds. Even if you could get that gimmick beyond the limited perception of today's smarter fans, you couldn't get past the fact that it would destroy his opponents credibility on a weekly basis, as opposed to destroying his opponents credibility as on pay day.
