Well considering that the remake of "Gimme Back my Bullets" is Skynyrd still with Kid Rock singing--it's not really his song. The song was on Skynyrd's latest CD. I actually like the remake alot, it's no Van Zant and Rossington circa 1977, but you still got Rossington jammin' away, and Kid Rock actually sounds, I don't know right singing the song with his bravado.

Besides, you have to appreciate him just for his Coors/NFL ads. Doesn't everyone want to put on a denim fleece collar jacket and buy beers for their whole section? SOMEBODY'S GOTTA FEEL THIS.

That said, the Coors commercials are pretty lame. Can you say sellout?

I think it has more to do with the fact that they use the same few seconds of the song for the whole ad, and they're not particularly catchy either. Although for him, Coors Light's probably an upgrade.
Now, if you want to get me started on truly shitty ads, the one with the defiling of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". I'm convinced the world will be a better place if someone bombs the site where they're filming one of those fuckin' ads. Even if they just take out the band.

| #8 Posted on 12.10.03 0054.38 | I must say I'm not as huge a fan of Kid Rock as I once was. Frankly his new material, I feel just doesn't live up to his earlier work. I suppose it's a guilty pleasure but I love the "Devil Without a cause" just overall feels like a much better comprised work. Plus I'm a big fan of when he "sings" mainly, "Only god knows why"

I wanna know just what the hell he was putting in the Coors Light to make Raider Fan get along with the Dawg Pound. That's like blending matter and antimatter with no big boom at the end. ?Que?

Oh, no. Not him. He's okay. I'm talking about the Coors Light ad that does that.

And Kid Rock... I can't find words strong enough to express my loathing of this man. What an absolute BUTCHERY of "Feel Like Making Love." BUTCHERY, man. He's taken what was once a marvelously entertaining rock song and reduced it to a generic Kid Rock piece of crap. I swear this guy has like two or three beats programmed into his keyboard and just goes from there. Ugh... Kid Rock. May he rot for his crimes.
And those effing Coors commercials... they can go, too. With those stupid, fashionably un-groomed yokels and the women with the skanky tattoos. Damn you Pete Coors, damn you to hell.

Offhand I know he's all over Aja, The Royal Scam, Gaucho and Katy Lied. If you know "Peg" you can definitely hear him during the chorus of that one. The one big Mike McD /Steely moment that stands out for me is "I Got the News." Brooooooadwayyyyyy duchess, darlin' if you only knew

Yeah, that's what brought on the question. I was listening to their Greatest Hits last night, and was convinced that I heard him on "Peg." And now I know. Thank you, Kim.
