From the AP

NEW YORK - Lisa Guerrero will join ABC's "Monday Night Football" as a sideline reporter for the upcoming season... She replaces Melissa Stark, who will not return for a fourth season because she is expecting her first child in September.

So what says You? Personally I see the NFL and Monday Night Football becoming more and more like the XFL by the year

I've always liked Melissa, certainly better then Guerrero.

This is sideline reporting. If you can read, you can do the job. It's pointless, regardless of who they choose to do it.

Guerrero got the job for exactly the same reason as Melissa Stark did, she's hot. (I mean, it wasn't like Lynn Swann and Lesley Visser were suddenly incapable of doing the job)

Now why Eric Dickerson ever got the job a couple of years ago, that will be a mystery that's never solved.

The only question is if Melissa will be coming back after this year.

Over 1500 posts and still never a Wiener of the Day!

Oliva: You are the weakest link! Goodbye!

Stewie: Ahahaha. Oh God, that's funny. That's really funny. You write your own material? Do you? Because that is so fresh. 'You are the weakest link. Goodbye!' You know I've never heard anyone make that joke before. You're the first. I've never heard anyone reference that outside program before. Because that's what she says on the show, right? Hmmm? 'You are the weakest link. Goodbye!' And ye...ye..yet you've taken it and....and used it out of context to insult me in this everyday situation. What a clever, smart girl you must be. To come up with a joke like that all by yourself. Mmmmm...that's so fresh too. Any Titanic jokes you want to throw at me as long as we're hitting these phenomena at the height of their popularity. Mmmm? Cuz i'm here God you're so funny!

Bonnie Bernstein would've been a better choice. She's one of the best sideline reporters today.

Stark v. Guerrero? Let's make it a big-vat-o'-pudding match. We can hold it at my station...or better yet, my house. :-)

Seriously, I'll take Stark any day.

(EDIT: Apparently Lisa Guerrero never posed in any nudie mag; my bad. She did act in Sunset Beach, though...almost as bad.) :-)

Well hell, they should have broken her CBS contract, then!

I know she posed for Maxim, but Playboy is news to me.

There is no Lisa Guerrero section on the Maxim website, so I think you're both wrong. The chick from Fox who was in Playboy is Lisa Dergan.

Also, kind of spooky is if you enter "www.lisaguerrero.com" you get redirected to "www.abortionismurder.org". I wonder if she knows that? (Don't do it unless you want to some nasty pics on the homepage.)

I woulda thought Suzy Kolber would have gotten it, being she's already working for ESPN and the like...

Lisa did fine for the Chargers and updates on FSN.

More on the Lisa Guerrero-Playboy thing:

I just received by new Playboy Saturday (Carnie Wilson?! Survivor chicks?! WTF?!) and on a list of Sports Chicks We'd LIKE to See Naked was...Lisa Guerrero. So I'm pretty sure she hasn't been naked in the magazine.

And, I think Jill Arrington is who you're thinking of being in Maxim. (Though SHE was actually in FHM, I think.)

Hey, as a guy who likes his chicks plump, I must defend Carnie Wilson. Then again, anybody named after a tilt a whirl ride operator probably shouldnt be nekkid anyplace!

But, I would rather see Anne (is it Anne?) Werner, who usually does the Green Bay updates for ESPN, get the sideline reporter job. Now thats one fine mama jama!

But, Lisa Guerero (damn, I know I cant spell) does have ONE thing going for her. She was in a Prince Video. (Diamonds and Pearls)

No "e"...it's Ann Werner. She used to work at my station, doing a whole lotta Packer coverage, before moving on to the late SportsChannel, then Fox Sports Net, then finally ESPN.

Not only can I look up archive video of her old reports anytime I want...I've actually partied with her. (And the weird thing is...after a couple other people have come and gone, the person currently filling her slot in our sports department used to intern at ESPN. 6 degrees, indeed.)

I doubt anyone's going to call Pete Rose the best hitter of all time, unless you've completely lost the plot, but he's sitting on top with the most hits anyway.
