| #1 Posted on 20.6.03 2312.23 | Instant Rating: 2.10 | I just stumbled across this page and since I grew up on Mid-Atlantic Championship wrestling I am marking out here. The link is http://www.midatlanticwrestling.net . With such a difficult URL, no wonder I never came across it earlier Anyway, check it out if you were a fan of the old Mid-Atlantic or just check out the sound section to hear some pretty funny old promos.
Disclaimer: Hope this is cool to post. Didn't we used to have a links section? I can't remember if it was this board I am thinking about. I am not trying to spam and I sure as hell am not bashing this site. Delete if needed.

| #5 Posted on 22.6.03 2333.38 | Instant Rating: 2.10 | I just got to add one more thing and I'll let it go. I changed my sig because that pic of Valentine cracks me up. I mean, to look so happy to break a man's leg is one thing but to go out and get a T-shirt made is hysterical.
Anyway here is my real point. Check out the commentary of the match http://www.midatlanticwrestling.net/Audio/77Q3/1977-Wahoo_Valentine_entireclip.mp3
It reminded me of something then it hit me.
Gordon Solie/Mike Teney David Crockett/Don West
Not to say that Mike is as good as Solie or that Don could ever be worse that Crockett but the similarity is there. Hearing Crockett mention silver dollars and saying SUPLEX over and over is the clincher.

| #6 Posted on 23.6.03 0000.46 | Greg Valentine was great. I loved his flop he'd do. It was similar to the Flair Flop. Valentine would just stand there, with this dazed look on his face and fall flat on his face. Flair kicks his back leg out. Either way, it's still awesome.
Yes, I like HHH! What's so wrong with that? |
