Do any other cities have weird traditions like that?
At Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City they yell "CHIEFS" instead of brave at the end of the anthem

Yeah, in Atlanta, they'll yell "BRAVES!" at the appropriate part. They also do a bit referencing the old Atlanta Knights hockey team, but it doesn't work nearly as well.
We did the same thing here when we had the Nashville Knights here.
"KNIGHTS!!!!!"
And I went to a NASCAR race in Michigan in 2001 and I kept my hat off for the Canadian national anthem and my stepbrother said to me something to the extent of "You're only supposed to take your hat off during YOUR national anthem". I told him that you put your hat over your heart during your national anthem but keep it off for the other one out of respect.

At Blackhawks games the single goal during the anthem is to ramp the crowd noise up to ear-bleeding inducement levels. This of course led to what I thought was the coolest anthem moment this side of Mo Cheeks, when the NHL all-star game was played in Chicago during Gulf War I and broadcast to the troops. Wayne Messmer was in full voice, and the old Chicago Stadium crowd made so damn much noise the cameras shook. Then I remembered I was watching hockey and quickly changed the channel *ducks* ;)
Check out the new Twilight Zone with Forest Whitaker. It really is that good. It also has the feel of the old Rod Sterling episodes, rather than the shitty "new" twilight zone show in the 80s.
