Has anyone else seen this?

I think this show is hilarious. I won't go into the premise too much, since you can easily find reviews online. Here are the bulleted nuggets:

Eddie is a New York narcotics cop who screws up a bust, then follows the dealers to England. He does so well that the ambitious Scotland Yard police "captain" keeps him on full time.
He lives in an apartment with a cute (unavailable) young woman, and they have a very "Moonlighting"-esque relationship. She's dropped out of school and is living for free in a flat her mother rents out. Eddie has legally rented it, and avoids getting kicked out by threatening to tell the mom that her daughter has dropped out.
His partner is an ostensibly straight-laced guy who goes to swingers' parties.

The camera-work is very Guy Ritchie, and the plots have the same kind of bizarre coincidentalism that his plots often have.

Overall, it's a cop show. But I love the fact that the writers go the extra mile for humor. In tonight's episode, they go to a pub: it's co-owned by a Scotsman and an American, and they've divided the bar down the middle. One thinks it's the greatest American Expat Pub in London, the other that it's the Greatest Scottish Expat pub. The cops get involved when the owners keep calling the tips line and leaving contact names like One-Ball Bill and Gay Johnny. Virtually every scene with them involved them getting in a brutal bar fight.

Also, I love all the scenes with the Captain's secretary Carol, who Eddie keeps calling Ms. Moneypenny, and who he accidentally calls Ms. Hornypenny. This woman does the "disguised totally restrained vixen" routine to a T.

The two episodes so far have been surreally funny and surprisingly very entertaining, and I hope that Fox doesn't do what it has a tendency to do and simply kill this series because it isn't getting Joe Millionare numbers.

What kind of shot does this show have with a summer timeslot?

Jeb is dead-on. Mark Valley is a terrific actor and this show has been very entertaining. The whole cast is British except for Valley and it's shot on location in London, so it looks right and feels British, too. The Moonlighting observation is not one that I had thought of, but it is true.

My fear is that despite something that feels and looks different than other cop shows, it will die a quick and painless death during the summertime. I, for two it appears, thoroughly enjoyed the first two episodes. I think Rudy with the moustache and German accent this week was priceless!

Oh, man that had me dying, especially when I realized that the impression he was doing was Hitler.

His hair was parted the same way, and he kept pulling his elbows up and pumping his fist in the air. It was just subtle enough that a lot of people wouldn't get it, thus reducing the chances of shrill protesting. But the history wonks, like me surely got it.

"Where are you from?"
"Innsbruck."
"Isn't that in Austria?"
"No!"
Big hidden Hitler fun right there...

Yes, Alexei Sayle has been a favorite of mine from the first time I saw him on the "Young Ones."
He's great fun.
Fun show... a little odd, but it's on the good side of quirky, with some intelligence.
Why is it that the networks' drama and actions shows tend to be so much funnier than the majority of the sitcoms out there?

I've enjoyed the show, but I could do without some of the needless super-quirky editing. One of these days it's going to give me a seizure. The show could be a lot less funny, but I'd still watch it. Mainly because Fiona and the secretary are super duper hot, and my Tuesday night tv is empty w/o Buffy and 24.

Alexei has been on the first two episodes so far, but I think he's going to be more a recurring character rather than showing up every week.

And yeah, this show is great. I wasn't quite sold after the pilot, but this past week's episode was the shit.

When does the show usually air? My curiosity has piqued.

And does anyone know if/when "Andy Richter Controls the Universe" is returning? I *hearted* that show. (EDIT: I just read in another thread that it was cancelled, so uh nevermind)
