Or (far less likely, I'm sure) do the Zimmermans go through and rate them all by hand? Is there some kind of formula or is it just a straight average? It's an average...easiest way to figure it out? The thread had the same rating as you did before I replied (since your post was the only one in the thread obviously). So are you saying Google avoided the ?'s to avoid infinite loops, but because we took out the ?'s, they might get caught in infinite loops? We've already got problems on here cuz some people never leave. At least the googlebots are quiet...
