Ive been waiting all week to catch those new FX comedies Starved & Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia since I saw the commercials on Sunday. Both shows feature the lives of a group of four friends.
Starved deals with four friends who all have severe eating disorders, and who all go to the same support group together. I cant really put my finger on this show lots of laughs, but really f-ed up, especially as we watch Sams sexual compulsions in action. The scene with the mini-scale at the diner is an instant classic. Oh, and I can totally relate when it comes to the Nemo cakes.
Philly looks to be a really, really good show. Here, we look at the mis-adventures of three buddies who co-own an Irish pub in Philly and the female bartender, Sweet Dee, who works there. The debut was non-stop laughs the show seems to take the fail-safe wacky misunderstandings route. Lots of wit. I highly recommend this one.

I will guess that it's whatever day is 8/4, since the subject of the thread contains that date. See also post #3 in this thread. OR check http://www.fxnetworks.com/?page=schedule . Or Google it. Or call us up and we'll come over to your house and press the keys on your keyboard for you.
Community was just fine without Chevy but he was just one part of many on that show. You forget about Valerie becoming The Hogan Family and going on for a good run as a milquetoast sitcom of the era.
