I guess when the Blackfish went to go piss during the Red Wedding he went to Asgard. Good thing Edmure Tully didn't follow him to screw up shooting the flame arrow. I enjoyed this movie. Of 2013's comic book movies, I liked Man of Steel, The Wolverine, Thor: TDW, then Iron Man 3. The final battle teleporting between realms was cool. I wasn't as annoyed by Darcy as most people were. Funny unexpected cameo in the movie, too, besides Stan Lee.

The mid-credits scene featured the Collector and previewed Guardians of the Galaxy. Also setting up the Avengers 3 with the Infinity "stones" (instead of gems). Post-credits scene was not worth sitting through 15 minutes of credits. Thor returns back to Earth and kisses Jane and the monster from Jotunheim chases birds in the parking lot.

I didn't like this one as much as the first one, because the first Thor nailed that fish-out-of-water element so well. This second one didn't have that one so much, until towards the end and, go figure, those wound up being the best scenes in the movie.

This is Tom Hiddleston's world and we're just living in it. BOW, MORTALS!

I think Loki being so great made the main bad guy Malekith look plain. Also, he jobbed to Thor's Mom like DDP jobbed to the Undertaker's wife. That didn't help.

It kicked an unholy amount of ass. I just got home from seeing it and I want to see it again right now.

I absolutely loved it.
The first one was good but this one was great.
The story flowed well, the reason for Thor and Loki working together was clever and the final battle with all the time/space glitches was very well done.
It looked brutal yet at the same time there was the 'comedy' of Mjolnir flying all around the world and space to get back.

Loki stole the show (though the real show stealer was the cameo of Loki in disguise as..

Captain America

Makelith was a sort of generic bad guy, including the Aether thing.
But I did love his look, and that of the Kursed.

The mid-credits scene made me squeal. It makes sense for them to go that route

of course you need the Infinity gems/stones if you use Thanos. But what will the other four be?
and the post-credits scene was cute

I liked it better than the first one. Thought the time jumping scenes were well done and played nicely.

It was only before 3D screenings. I saw it, and it was pretty damn great.

Is there a reason why Hogun was sidelined for the entire movie? I figured he'd make some big return at the end but, nope.

So much makeup, didn't realize until the credits that Christopher Eccleston and Mr. Eko were the villains.

Wow, I didn't realize that was Mr. Eko either... I knew that was Destro under the elf makeup though. Joes & Cobras - working together!

And I never watched Chuck but I know what Zachery Levi looks like and he was pretty unrecognizable too, as they tried to match him better with the first actor.

Alan Taylor explains it here (craveonline.com)

Because that’s a theme in the film.

The comedy in these movies has been a cut above since Avengers. Especially

That's actually one of the first things I said after the film, was that it was surprisingly funny. I thought it was pretty great in general. I actually liked the story better in this film, but I thought the first one was better overall simply because it had more interaction between Thor and Loki, and Hemsworth and Hiddleston have absolutely phenomenal chemistry together. My favorite part of the whole movie was just Hemsworth delivering the line "I wish I could trust you." It had such great depth of feeling behind it.

My one complaint with the film was with the dark elves. I know they said that magic and technology were the same to them, but that's bullshit. This movie was all science fiction, all the time, and especially regarding the dark elves and their ships. They might as well have been Romulans (or, I guess, Predators. They seemed like they had a lot of visual elements in common with Predators). I would have liked things to have a bit more of a ancient aesthetic, like the Asgardian stuff does. Really, it's a fairly minor stylistic complaint, and in general I liked this film quite a bit more than anything I saw over the summer.

I kept thinking Phantom Menace, personally.

I liked this; didn't love it, but I liked it.

To clear up some confusion, that was not Hana (aka "Wireless") in the lab at the end. It was Missy Peregrym (of "Stick It" fame), who apparently will be playing a new character. Hana did not appear in the episode.
